Today's Episode - Insight into ShraMan

Okay, so I don't understand why people are pissed about the episode, I thought it was perfect, everyone is entitled to their opinion though, to each his own I guess! But I couldn't help but share my own feelings about this.

We all know that everyone would be complaining if they dragged this track out like a typical show, and now there are complaints about them curing Sumo too soon. I think this is great, because if Sumo and Shravan's feelings grew while she was unwell, Sumo would write it off as pity and it would be the worst thing for their relationship.

Did everyone see the look on her face when she found out that it was Shravan's plan? Imagine her thought process right now, he stuck by her side for days (I know they only showed a few episodes, but there was a time lapse at the hospital), he helped her and understood her more than her family and ultimately knew her well enough to know how she would get better.

And think about Shravan for a second, he never feared losing Sumo before, and now he has. The track served it's purpose well, to get Shravan to let go of his ego. It has gotten Sumo and Shravan talking again, now PreeKar are going to take them along this pathway. I know a huge complaint by a lot of people is the lack of romance - but love is not all flowers, eye locks, hugs and kisses. The biggest part of love is being there for the other person, no matter what.
Personally, I feel like ShraMan have shown a more intense and real love already than most couples manage through the course of a whole show. Their actions speak volumes of their love, the way they support each other, the way they look at each other. They aren't like other couples, they have years of history to work through, and they are friends before lovers - they aren't like other TV couples that meet and then fall in love, their story is not going to follow the same timeline. Take PreeKar for example, they jump head first into "lovey-dovey" scenes because they don't have years of emotional baggage to work through. ShraMan do, but once they get through this, their love is going to be so intense that it's going to blow us away.
Also, if you've ever been in love, the intense butterfly feelings (so the kind of scenes we all want) is the beginning of a relationship that ultimately gives away to something deeper and more meaningful. ShraMan have been in love for so long, and they never experienced that first phase because of their circumstances, but they've known each other for far too long to not be in that "second deeper stage" of a relationship. They are working backwards, normal couples meet and get to know each other, they know each other and are working with their baggage towards becoming a couple!
I want cute lovey-dovey scenes too, I live off fluff, I will be on the ground crying with happiness when it happens. But I am so glad that ShraMan aren't rushing into this, because they aren't ready. Getting through all this baggage is necessary for them!
We're so used to the typical "falling into your arms" eye locks and accident tracks where people fawn over the sick person while bandaging them or something - that's not what this show is about. This show isn't about how sexy the male lead is (albeit Namik gets 1st prize in that category) and how the male and female lead can't get a hold on their hormones around each other, it's much deeper than that. This show is telling a story - concisely and perfectly, the way they close all the loops, the parallels, the way tracks are executed are so perfect. Take a step back and look at this show from the perspective of reading a good book, and don't compare it to other desi shows, and I promise it'll make you appreciate the show even more, it has all the elements that make a perfect story.
Dragging this accident track out for weeks would have been pointless and wouldn't be conducive to developing their relationship, I was pleasantly surprised by today's episode. I am so caught up in my expectations of how desi shows work that a lot of things that happen in this show slap me in the face in the most wonderful way. I adore this, I love how despite all the spoilers that float around no one expected today's episode.

Dear what an awesome summary of what to expect from EDKV 😃 👏

It's realistic as much as possible 😆 people expecting eye locks flying dupattas pulling the fl and locking her hands behind her back 😉 then this is not their cup of tea 😳

Word!!
You have summed it all up! Their story has always been about a strong foundation of friendship. This is what makes this couple unique from other shows. I absolutely adore their friendship bond. This episode will now lead to both of them realizing how much they should treasure this friendship and their relationship is beyond any misunderstanding and hurdles that they are currently facing. Brilliant post! :)

I have said it before - many times in fact - and I say it again... Am so glad there are writers as articulate as you on this forum... Love your writing...

I just finished watching the episode, and actually liked it. The last scene where Shravan just walks away, then turns back to make sure she's really alright, lets out a sigh of contentment, smiles and walks out was so beautiful that it tore my heart. And the precap? So our Sumo's thinking now... isn't that a surprise J. But what I really loved in the precap was Shravan's expression when she asked if nothing had changed between them... His eyes were brimming with his feelings - but Sumo can't see it, yet... I think the upcoming track will be very interesting, I don't think they are back to square one... As you said, Shravan knows now the fear of losing (almost) Sumo, and she knows that he can go to any extent for her.

They both have to go through a lot of past baggage to arrive at each other, a confession at this point would be premature. They would be coming to each other with misconceptions and some anger smothered inside, but I don't want that. I want them to love each other with abandon, where nothing can come between them. Because they are such a couple - a unique pair that can exist unto itself. Not sure if that made sense, but hey, I'm no writer 😊

Very well said. A relationship cannot and should not start when both parties harbour a lot of emotions both good and bad, that is, the baggage. Once, ShraMan put the ghosts of their past to rest, they'll be inseparable. Kudos to you for such a appropriate write up!
Cheers

Thank you! And right, EDKV is different than all the other shows, which is why I love it so much, and there are a billion other shows if the flying dupatta is what you're looking for!
