Sumo leaned on to him a little more. He looked into her eyes seeking permission. One nod n his lips met hers. What started with a slow, sweet kiss soon turned into a fiery passionate one. He poured all his emotions in a single kiss, how much he missed her, how sorry he was. She understood his unspoken words. They were both drenched in rain, covered by her dupatta , they stayed in each others embrace. She wanted to cherish this moment even if it was for few minutes...
Their breaths ragged, their hearts racing and the universe as though celebrating their 'milan' raged fiercely! The winds bellowed the rain got stronger each passing moment and yet two angry and lost souls found the solace they were looking for.
They stayed like that for a minute, a few moments or an Eternity, neither knew and it didn't matter, the fact that they were together, here in this moment of passion was enough to satiate them the rest of their lives.
Finally, Shravan spoke in what seemed like a whisper, his voice hoarse, alien to his own ears, "Sumo, I love you, always have, always will!"
Sumo couldn't fathom what he just said, she just kept savouring his voice, drowning in his eyes was surely blissful!
[DIV]Shravan held her in place with one hand and held her face with the other, spoke again, "bohot koshish ki tumse nafrat karne ki, bohot koshish ki tum se door rehne ki, par sach toh yeh hai Sumo ke mai tumse nafrat karne mai bilkul haar chuka hoon, par yeh haar mujhe jeet kyun lagti hai?"
"Sumo?"
Sinlence. Blink. Opens mouth. Closes it. Blinks again.
Shravan slowly tries to get out of the embrace and that brings her out of the trance and she pulls him back. "Shravan..kahi mat jao."
"Main toh yahi hu."
Hugs her tightly.
" Dont ever leave me shravan. Main fir se akeli ni hona chahti"
He caresses her hair and kisses her on forehead "Ab hume kismat bhi ni alag kr skti sumo..I'll be there for u till my last breath."
He separated her ever so slightly from himself, only to see her face, still holding on to her like his life would be sucked out of him if he let go.
"Sumo, ab chahe jo ho jaye, mai tumhe kabhi akele nahi chodoonga. Mai tumhe aaise nahi dekh sakta sumo. Tumhe dard hota hai toh mai khud ko khatam kar dena chahta hoon tumhe dard dene ke liye."
Sumo gasped at the depth his words held and nudged him to continue.
"Sumo jo cheez tumhe khushi deti hai mai chahta hoon cheez ko mai yuhin rok loon, Jo cheez tumhe dard deti hai dil karta hai us cheez ka wajood mita doon. Sumo mai ab tumhe door se dekhna nahi chahta.. mai tumhare saath rehna chahta hoon! Tumhare har khushi kI wajhe banna chahta hoon, mujhe ek mauka de do, mai phir kabhi tumhe shikayat ka mauka nahi doonga"
" Bolo na sumo, dogi mujhe ek mauka, sirf ek. I promise tumhe duniya ki har khushi dunga, tum kahogi to chand tare bhi le aunga jameen pe" he asked with hope filled eyes. Sumo laughed, " Pagal kahin ke itna filmi honi ki jarurat ni hai...chaand tare laaa dunga..buddhu. Tumhe ek kya hazar mauke dene ko taiyar hun ,mere khadoos qutub minar." He makes face on her nickname for him , takes a step forward towards her but trips on something. Sumo started laughing clutching her stomach, " dilli ka 6'4" wala qut...tu..b minar gir gya" He just kept staring at her laughing form.
Her laughter sounded music to his ears. It had been long since she had laughed wholeheartedly.. He was so sure he pay any price, do anything for her smile.
It was this very smile he fell in love with! Her carefree laughter brightened the darkest corners of his heart. There was a reason he always ran to her when his parents fought, cause she was his solace. Long before he understood love, way before that, it was the peace and calm she brought that pulled him to her!
He was in awe of this girl before him, unknowingly though he did break her life's dream, he cruelly snatched it away and she still found it in her to forgive him so easily! Oh how was he ever going to make it up to her!
Sumo saw him lost in his thoughts, a fond smile playing on his face. How she loved this side of him, she hated the furrows that marred his handsome face. She could do anything to see him smile.
She snapped her fingers at him, "kya? Kya soch rahe ho lambu?"
Shravan rolled his eyes, "tumhare baare mai"
Sumo laughed, "tum na shravan poore pagal ho gaye ho! Saamne khadi hoon, yeh nahi ke make the most of it, tumhare baare mai sochoon raha hoon " the last part she imitated him
He let out a chuckle
"Sumo, I don't sound like that!"
"Lambu, the hell you do! Tumhe kya pata tum kaise sound karte ho!"
"You may be right, I don't know exactly how I sound but I sure as hell don't sound like a broken transistor!"
Sumo laughed, "itna lamba broken transistor!"
"Yaar tum meri height ki jokes banana kab chodegi?" Trying to sound annoyed.
Sumo looked at his puppy eyes, "kabhi nahi, aur ab toh tum ne mujhse zindagi bhar ka panga le liya hai Mr. Qutub 'broken transistor' Minar, mujhse peecha chudvana itna aasan nahi hai"
" tumse peecha chudana kaun chahta hai, tumhare haath chodne ke liye thodi pakda tha moti!"
Sumo huffed and shravan earned a punch in response.
They were oblivious of what the future held. They knew this, no mountain was high enough to stop them nor was there a valley deep enough to engulf them. "Them" this one word held so much promise that all else faded.
All that remained was to remember each new morning will be brighter with Shraman as one!
