@ sanfan:

Thanks for your insightful post. Yes Shravan is in character when it comes to his "conflict" and I am one of the first people who wrote on his character on this forum. When people were dissing him I decoded why he insulted Suman in public at the reunion party. I "got" him. But this Shravan, who refuses to engage his brain when it comes to the topic of his Father under ANY circumstances at the moment grates on me.

But I get your point of the conflicted lover. He dropped the ball on the case and he didnt know about who were the actual illegal tenants of Saniyal, which Berry did! It is not a blooper that he knew who the tenants of the land were. He does not have to visit there to know this. He can send someone and get all the info as to whom the people Saniyal has rented the land out to. In fact in the initial episodes with Berry he even mentioned to Shravan that not only is Saniyal occupying that land illegally, he has even tenanted it. So he was always aware of who and what was occupying the premises.

I am sure the the court already presented Saniyal with the papers to let him know he has lost the case and his tenants need to vacate the premises. When Suman called him, he told her that he "cannot do anything" as he has lost the case. The Police and court were there to get the tenants to vacate. I feel THIS scene was a bit of a blooper because they didn't even give these people reasonable warning of any sort. They didn't even know there was a case in front of the court involving Saniyal and the land. I recall in the episode where Nirmala goes to court, Berry and Shravan even had a conversation about how he was either sending or not sending notices to the people occupying the land. It was a comment in passing about "not sharing the secrets of the trade" when it comes to how he practices law.

So in all, in the matter of law, I think the way Berry has acted in regards to the tenants of Saniyal was unacceptable, considering her knows very well they pay rent and not doing anything wrong. They are entitled to know the situation they are in by being in those premises. They have a grievance against Saniyal, but also Berry and his lawyers had a duty to inform them too. Considering they are directly effected and they could have made other arrangements for themselves. They at least had a moral obligation to do so. They cant just go throw people out like that. That was just too dramatic with chucking all of Suman's equipment out of the premises in that vile way. Shravan thinking he is justified in this outcome is pretty shameful.

If he had not been so distracted his Father would not have been able to hide from him that dossier with the names of the tenants of Saniyal. If Berry knew, then that means Shravan needs to know too, as he is the lawyer fighting the case. That is not a blooper, that is how a good lawyer operates. You find out everything that is relevant to the case. Just like during the Khosla case, he knew exactly how Khosla operates and also how he used to pull tricks in the courtroom to get an extension for his cases by faking a heart attack. He did ALL his homework and was prepared for all outcomes. Here he was not, and that is why his Father was able to do something this despicable and get away with it. But Shravan then not even questioning him in private is really very disappointing. I didn't expect him to say anything in front of Suman. But once she left? Not even then. He simply does not seem to think his Father hiding the fact that Suman's business was also on that land was an issue. This is not in keeping with the Shravan we have been shown so far. Conflicted lover I get. But human without a conscience? That is not acceptable.

Thanks again for your comment.

Mandy i get where its coming from... we hv seen it before as well right ...n i m sad to say that its kind of going on the same path...
I had all these reactions on friday n i expressed it as well... but now with passing time its like kind of mellowed down, what i want to see is how do they go on now from this,...

If they still dont show Sumo manning up n Shravan still the blind puppet in his father's hand aling with Ramnath kamini evil plottng .. i know it will be over for me...

I have had a bad experience once n wont knowingly ask fr it again...

I completely agree with u on this. What Shravan did on friday was what i can never justify not understand, his getting mad at Sumo had no reason whatskever that i can get ... so either they show Sumo giving him a taste of his own medicine or they show some serious repentance stuff from Shravan..

Now Interesting this...@mrDarcyfan... I had not paid close attention to the dialogues between Berry and Shrav when Sumo barged in...gud you pointed this out...👏while I will still stick to my orginal premise of law that Shravan as a lawyer strictly has no reason to be concerned with the opponent's tenants (except on humanitarian grounds and frankly with that we open a new thread of thot)...but i will also absolutely agree that by adding that dialogue the writers have kept a window open to lay the guilt even more strongly on Shravan...if he indeed remembers this convo...he will only feel more pained to know that he has let her down..Its a guilt trip for sure...

Suddenly I am reminded by the dialogue of Sumo in the park..Irade nahin nateeje dekhe jaate hain...Now that's a spin if I ever heard one...would this be a case of Irade as important as nateeje!! Ends and means have equal importance..😊 yeh bechara...damned if I do, damned if I don't 😆😆

Wow @mrdarcyfan...fantastic point...In my view while it still is a blooper per law...as Berry is not required to send notices to anyone other than Sanyal if Sanyal is contesting the ownership of the land as sending notices to tenants of Sanyal means recognising the right of someone who is not in a contractual obligation with you but yes ...for creative liberty I can accept that this will be an important fb if the writers. Well I don't trust writers to have a great deal of knowledge of other fields and that causes mirth among professionals 😆...the secrets of trade will come to bite big boy 😉

@underlined ...If the point is about a lawyer looking out for interests beyond his client in a case..well this is a different territory...many things come into play.. I have some views but not that they necessarily belong in this medium..I would say it is a tough call really. It is unfortunate that honest tenants on a illegal piece of land can face the problem of eviction and there are recourses in law for such issues as well but if the land ownership was disputed, I don't see anything wrong from Shravan's perspective to take up the case. The humanitarian angle then must not come for Sumo alone but for every other affected party...just playing the devil's advocate here..😊.

@bold..are we completely sure that he believes that Ram was aware of this matter...i am not sure..if he is aware..you are absolutely right, it should rankle..in private if not in public...but somehow I feel Ram will gloss it over with the land agreement "galat fehmi"

Enjoyed this discussion...u brought a lot of lovely points...👏

Hey Mischy,

Great to see your comment here. Yes I dont want this story to go town the typical soapy rout and have Shravan playing puppet to Ramnath's puppet master, falling deeper and deeper into a pit!

I hope they stay true to the character of Shravan and make him think. The Shravan we are used to seeing. That is the same guy I want to see now. Not this biased against women and blinded by hate and prejudice version that just cant see beyond his Dad.

You spoke my mind!! What Shravan did the other day was unacceptable! There is absolutely no room for justification for such behavior!

First off...I am not sure whether Shravan knew about the tenants or not!! Okay let's assume he did not!! At least he must have known where the disputed land is located! He possibly could not be fighting Berry's case without knowing its location!! If he knew the location...he should have known pct would be affected!! If he did not know the location...then that's a massive blooper!!!

Secondly...under no realistic circumstances would a person just watch his or her lover/friend suffer miserably and not sympathize because the father was insulted! Especially...in this case we are not just talking about Sumo's life but also the lives of several needy women...who work hard to earn their daily wage thru honest means!! That is why the other day I said that a person who has been stripped naked of their humane side...never deserves an apology!!

Thirdly, what really irked me is that Shravan is going to go to Sumo and try to do her a favor by giving her the land papers! Come on...is this how much he has understood Sumo??? Not only that, he will get mad when she rejects his offer!! Like seriously?? This is not the Shravan that we have witnessed thus far! The CVs, I feel, are certainly trying to dumb down his character!

I really did not want this to be a love hate sort of story...I really did not want vamps plotting and planning against the main leads...and sadly...this is exactly what we will witness in the next few episodes! I am dreading the drama that will unfold next week!!

What's more...after all this...at the end they will get together and live life as a happy couple!! Yeah fine I will watch it for Nimik's chemistry...but the trajectory that the CVs are treading lacks novelty and charm!

Word to everything you said! No matter how we try to dress this up, it boils down to what you have said. If his Father is the only person Shravan cares about, then sorry but that is just not acceptable. Also, him not knowing where the disputed land was, who was on it, and the list of tenants occupying the disputed land was a huge blooper. I know the Dad hid the dossier from him. But doing his homework means he needs to at least know the exact location of the proposed "Mall". How did he not know it was on the same plot that Sumo's kitchen was located.

If he doesnt know any of this before fighting the case, then that proves he was very distracted and not paying attention to detail. (which we know he was). Also, the tenants of Saniyal at least deserve some humane treatment. They cant be chucked out like this, but worst still Shravan had NO sympathy for their plight at all. He doesnt have to let them stay. But at least be human about it. Telling them to "Get lost?" How cheap was that and that is NOT Shravan. That was just cruel. Are they trying to turn him into Shlok? Bad idea!

exactly my sentiments. his i hate you was justified after nirmala fiasco (spur of the moment response) but this... no matter how much people justify him, its not justified at all given the character that was built. i had high expectations from this show and did not expect a usual dumb lead manipulated to the core. also, since he is so observant and he knows chachi's true colors - how come the makers have not shown him exploring his dad and her relationship more or questioning it. thats what smart people do. i have a strong inclination that i am going to regret watching an indian show if things dont change this coming week. also, ramnath's character sketch has been horribly ruined - he respected his guru so much, realistically he would have gone to tiwariji and told him and requested him to ask sumo to not bring this issue up again but no what he does is a typical ekta scheming plan here... all that is missing is those weird camera angles and panning that they do 😆😆

That Shravan felt a tinge of pain and remorse at the way he had insulted Sumo and Preeta in his office was visible when he was talking to Pushkar! But the fact that he chose to defend his behavior just makes him an asshole/jerk of the highest order...it makes Shravan look like a person whose ego trumps any other emotion/feeling!! And that is not how Shravan has been portrayed!

Ramnath's manipulation of Shravan is something I really do not or did not wish to watch in this show...okay a little bit here and there is fine!! But right now he is going out of his way to make sure Shravan hates Suman!! I really abhor such things!
