After her world came crashing down Sumo didn't really know how to react. She just kept walking mindlessly and aimlessly.
Elsewhere a certain Shravan Malhotra was in an even tormented place, he brought this on her, he brought this on them, how could he! All he wished for now was to undo this day that happened, it was a nightmare. He knew His Sumo would be hurt and as if he knew where she would be, his legs carried him straight to her.
He saw her walking like her life had been sucked out of her! Oh, at this moment he wanted to punish himself for the pain she felt. He slowly walked towards her, and as though the skies mirrored their feelings, a heavy downpour descended upon them. Shravan looked up to the skies asking for a divine intervention, "What do I do now" He asked his maker..
Suddenly, Suman falls down..
Shravan rushes to her aid, she looks at him and jerks his hands off her, he stumbles back slightly, with pain in his eyes..
He mouths a silent Sumo?
"Mujhse baat karne ka haq tum kho chuke ho"
Sumo please aaisa mat kaho
Kyun? Bohot bura laga? Socho tumhare muh se woh kadwe shabd sun kar mujhe kaisa laga hoga..
"Sumo mera yakeen karo, tumhara dil todneka mera koi irada nahi tha, tum papa se iss tarha baat kar rahi thi mujhse bardaasht nahi hua"
"Oh toh tumhare papa ko koi kuch keh de, chahe woh sach hi kyun na ho, tum usse barbaad kar doge, is that right Mr. Shravan Malhotra"
Shravan is taken aback by the coldness of her voice.
"Chhodo mujhe" Slowly, she tries to get up.
Shravan, totally taken aback, moves aside and gets up along with her, his hand still extended to catch her if she falls.
After looking into her eyes for few seconds, failing to read her, he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. In the calmest tone possible, he starts, "Sumo, mujhe pct ke baare mein kuch nahi pata tha. Maano ya na maano, yeh hi sach hai."
"TUM mujhe sach aur Jhoot ki pehchan ke baare mein na hi explain karo, toh better hoga"
"Papa ki baat ko lekar naaraz ho na? Sumo meri baat please, samjho. Uss aurat ki koi safarish kare yeh mujhe bilkul bardasht nahi hai. Aur Papa ke khilaf koi kuch kahe, yeh toh hargiz bardasth nahi hai. Tumne papa se Priya aunty ke naam ke tiffin centre..."
"APNI GANDI ZUBAN SE MERI MAA KA NAAM MAT LO!"
Sumo started walking...shravan holds her hand to stop her and said " meri baat sune bina main tumhe nhi jaane dunga"
Sumo : aur mujhe tumhari koi baat sunni nhi hai,
She again tries to move but shravan came and took a stand just before her...face to face...shravan said "lagta hai tumne meri baat suni nhi, maine kaha main tumhe meri baat sune bina jaane nhi dunga "
Sumo replied instantly " maine bhi kaha mujhe tumhari koi baat nhi sunni .,aur kya farak padta hai main tumhari baat sunu na sunu., tum toh wahi karoge jo tumhe karna hai " and again sumo tried to go past him(shravan's right hand side)...anger took place at shravan's face... immediately he moves his right hand towards her and get a hold of her waist and pulled her towards himself colliding her body to himself...her hands on his shoulder and his hands on her waist holding her smoothly trying to not hurt her with his grip..he said " mujhe farak padta hai" Embarrassed his voice calm and low
Shravan in a low tone, "Mujhe farq padta hai, kyun ki baat tumhare hai iss liye farq padta hai, baat kisi aur ki hoti toh koi farq nai padta"
Sumo was astounded by the depth and tone of his voice, she couldn't tear her eyes away from his, she couldn't understand what she saw in his eyes, anger? Hurt? Resentment? And a foreign emotion she couldn't quite decipher. With that she phased out, trying to comprehend what was going on.
Shravan continued, "Sumo mai tumse baat kar raha hoon, please jab mai baat karoon meri taraf dekho, tumhare aankhe mujhe sab bol deti hai, aasani ho jaata hai samjhna jo tum soch rahi ho, aasan ho jaata hai mere liye mera dil khol ke tumhare saamne rakh dena"
Sumo looks in his deep orbs, she started to decipher this foreign emotion, love! Was it love!? Did he still love her despite of everything!
Shravan noticed sumo was now shivering due to the rain and cold winds, he took off his jacket and made an umbrella of sorts by holding his jacket above both of them, he felt like this was their little world, his sumo, him, their heart beats and their love. He felt her shudder still, he came closer and held her tight smug to himself, he could feel her heartbeats against his chest. And he had to admit, he had never felt so peaceful.
Sumo on the contrary felt her feet would give up on her, having him so close, looking at her the way he was, saying things he was, in that tone, made her loose her senses, she was still mad at him, but she just couldn't get herself to be angry at him, this, him, her, here, him holding her like his life depended on it made her feel things she never felt before.
