I had talked about Shravan not having had choices in his life in a long time.
For the first time he was faced with a choice and he chose the path of loyalty towards his father against right and wrong. I am not contesting here about Shravan the lawyer... because the lawyer did right.
But Shravan the friend has strayed... and strayed very far indeed. In his need to prove to himself, his loyalty to his father he chooses to distance himself from Sumo. As this in his eyes means loyalty and love to his dad. In the process he choose to ignore his friendship, This was ok as long as there was no wrong happening. But when Sumo comes to him for help at the time of dire need... what does he do? He fails to hear her out, breaks her down, rejects her and again tries to prove his loyalty to his father. Does he for a moment think if he has choosen the right path? Does loyalty always have to come first? Should he not do the right thing and not support the wrong that is being committed? These are the choices that he needs to make.
Alas! No matter what his choice is... it would be too little too late. The friend who was willing to give her life to earn his trust just saw him letting her sink and goad at the whole scenario.
I feel really sorry for Shravan he is going to be seeing a different Sumo soon.
For a change... this guy who hates and thinks lowly about women would go to any extent to get back THIS woman's trust in him!
