Chapter 16.

"Sumo." Pushkar groaned so loudly that all the feeble protests that Suman made died totally.
"I don't want to go out." She sighed and tried once more. Just one last time.
So, it had been a week since Suman got discharged from hospital and went back to Shravan's home.
Shravan's home.
The home that corrupted her thoughts, invaded her calmness and all over made her feel a mess.
So a day later exactly, she had asked Pushkar-Preeti to take her to her own home. Shravan felt awful but he stayed mum. He did not want to force her into doing things. So he had let her go. Now it wasn't to say that he let 'her' go. That wasn't going to happen. Nope.

Anyway, so it had been 5 whole days, and Suman had not got out of her room. Her life had been confined to her room and washroom. So after Preeti had tried everything - requesting, coaxing, blackmailing and threatening - Pushkar was called for rescue.

"I am not listening to one f**king word. We are going out today." Pushkar said with a stern no-nonsense tone and walked out murmuring another stern,
"Get ready quick."
It left Suman cursing these 'kids' for 'ordering' around. Damnit.
---

"Where are we going guys?" Suman asked finally, some half hour into the drive.
"I am getting impatient." She sighed and added.
Preeti smiled. Suman had always been impatient while travelling, so atleast even in adversity, not everything had changed.
"Di." Preeti turned around a little from her seat to look behind at Suman.
"Listen to me carefully, okay?" She held Suman's hand in her own.
"I am not asking you to forget what has happened, but I sure am expecting you to enjoy today. To forget what has happened just for a few hours and live. Smile. You deserve to, Di. Your baby is not here, physically as it should have been in a few months now but I am sure the baby is here in spirit and the baby hates when you are upset. Trust me." Preeti leaned forward and kissed Suman's cheek.
"So whatever happens today, take it in your stride, do it with full heart, and have as much fun as you can. Don't make sadness your home. You can be happy and still miss your child and that is the only way to go about it. The only way your baby will be in peace."
Suman sighed listening to her younger sister being all mature. Truly, sometimes, when things go bad, the younger siblings become perfect parents.
---

"WHAT THE HELL." Suman screamed. No, not out of anguish or irritation. Out of excitement.
Apparently she had heard to Preeti's advice and reluctantly, but still, agreed to just follow through it. It was logical anyway.
Anyway what she felt right now really, truly, made her feel excited.
Pushkar grinned adorably at Suman. The camraderie he and Suman shared, it was nothing short of beautiful.
"Yes, yes, lets go now." Preeti chuckled and held Suman's hand to take her inside.
They were in a freakinggg amazinggg amusement park!

Walking through the colourful gate of the amusement park, they were welcomed by another gorgeous face.
Shravan.
Suman couldn't help but go all 'Uh-Oh'. But somewhere deep down she sort of missed him. It had been five whole days since she last saw him. And she had noticed him looking so crest fallen while she left for her home.
Today though, Shravan looked stunning in a full sleeved grey tshirt and black jeans. The tshirt stuck to his body so darn beautifully, she felt goosebumps at her nape. She averted her eyes from his.
"Heyy." Shravan's cheerful voice though brought her eyes back on him and she licked her lips, looking at Shravan from up to down.
Pushkar hugged Shravan. Past five days, he had spent with Pushkar and told him everything; told him how much he repented everything. And Pushkar, being a sweetheart that he was, chose to give one tiny chance to his brother. It was useless to hold grudges and be angry if it wouldn't even make anything okay.
"I thought only we three were coming here." Suman murmured softly. True, she liked the sight of Shravan but she didn't like it enough to forgive him for all he did.
The four of them tried out alot of fun rides. From roller coaster to bumper rides; from twists to pendulam rides; from monster ride to the haunted mansion - they tried everything out. Suman didn't let go of Preeti and Preeti, even though she wanted to be with Pushkar, didn't seem to mind being with her sister.
When it was time for one last ride - The ferris wheel - Pushkar asked Suman if he could take Preeti with himself and Suman wasn't so stupid to deny him. She hadn't let the two spend time with each other just for the sake of keeping Shravan away.
So Pushkar and Preeti got in one seat of ferris wheel. There were just a handful of more people who wanted to get in the ferris wheel. Shravan held Suman's hand.
"We'll sit in the red one." Shravan murmured. Now she didn't like it. Why must she sit in red if she like purple one more? Why must she sit with him at all, in the first place? But she didn't retaliate. She wasn't very happy about heights, even though she loved rides that made her feel exhilarated and excited but at the same time, she didn't like being alone at some condierable height. It frightened her so she needed someone for support and right now, the support was Shravan. So she didn't rebuke him or say no. She simply got in the red seat, next to Shravan who was funnily, very tall for the seat. He just sat there awkwardly.
Ten minutes in the ride, and her heartbeats elevated when the ferris wheel reached the top and then altogether stopped with the two of them on the top.
"..f**k." She muttered softly and clutched Shravan's hands in her sweaty ones.
"Why did it stop, Shravan!!" She looked at him alarmed while he just sat there serenly.
"Shravan!" She yelled at him.
"Shh." He squeezed her hand. "Shh. Just sit quietly. If you move alot, you put the two of us at the risk of falling down and dying, doc. Don't do that." He mumbled coolly.
"Shrav.."
"Shush!" Shravan looked in her eyes so intensely, she instantly shut up.

"Suman." He took her name so delicately, it made her heart flip.
He held the two of her hands in his, now. And his thumb caressed the skin of her palm. All these stupid sensations were easily getting to her because she loved him. It was very obvious and she had stopped denying the fact either. She loved him, irrespective of anything. So when he talked to her, held her, came close to her, she felt all those butterflies that were hibernating intil now, to flutter in her tummy. It caused goosebumps to dance on her skin. And she became all too aware about everything, all at once.

She realised everybody was just as quiet as her. This was fishy. She exoected people to be yellimg about why the ferris wheel stoppee, instead they were quiet. Just like how Shravan was calm. This was absolutely out of everybody's character.
"Suman." Shravan's soft smooth voice brought her back to the moment.
"Past five days were tough. Not as tough as it was when I was miles away from you, with absolutely no connection - which was my fault. But still, these five days were terrible. Awful. Saddening. Incomplete. I felt more incomplete than I ever did. I don't know if you'd give me the right to call myself the father of our late child, but the fact is I was a father to the baby. I just failed miserably. I failed him and you. And ofcourse I ended up degrading myself with my own doings. I don't expect you to forgive me already, but I hope, and I hope so hard that you give me one chance to redeem myself. To make it all okay. I cannot bring our child back, but I can give the baby its rightful peace which would come only after seeing you happy. You are miserable, and you didn't deserve it. If any one does, its me. Give me one chance to own up your miseries. Give me one chance to fix stars in you dark sky. Give me one chance to hold your hand for today and the rest of the lifetime.
I know it's too late, but I am still running against all odds to want to make it better for you. I want to. And you deserve to have a better life.
Marry me, Miss. Suman Tiwari. I know no other way to fix you other than loving you. And no relationship tag is going to make it feel enough, unless I make you my other half; my wife for eternity.
Settle down with me. Let me help you walk out through this pain. Let me kiss your scars away. Give me a chance to make beauty out of the mess. One chance is all I am begging you for.
I love you, Suman. I know the realisation is coming really late, and I cannot undo anything that I have done out of my sheer stupidity, but I can make today and tomorrow fine. And happy. Just have faith in me one last time, and spend your life with me. Give me the honour to be your husband. Give me the honour to father our beautiful kids. Give me the honour to hold you when you feel you cannot hold yourself.
Give me the honour to be called your home.
Please?
Will you marry me?" Shravan spoke it all, in a breathe. He needed to do this. He had been wanting to do it since the time she left his home.
All this amusement park was his plan. He had won over Pushkar and Preeti, and they'd given him his one chance.
But Suman? He wasn't sure about her answer. Afterall, she had felt the brunt of his carelessness the most. But god, did he hope for miracle.
One life changing miracle.

Hello.
I am late again. I know. This is so repititive, but really law entrance prep is becoming killer hectic and I plead innocence, my lord. (See, i am already behaving like a lawyer xD) plus there are alot of new developments in my own life. Uhho. So thankyou for your patience. Means alot.
I hope this chapter makes up for the wait. I personally like this. I try to keep my characters real; their situations real.
What will Suman reply?
Who knows hmmm. ;)

Love,
Palak.

Ps. I have not proof read the chappy so if there are any mistakes, please forgive.
Pps. I am striving to complete this story so that i can focus on others. starting so many stories all at once was my fault. Im so sorry but ill complete them. Promise.
