This is my first post on this forum.
So I thought would start off by giving my take on the show.
Well EKDV became my favourite show for a world of reasons. Most importantly because of its realistic take .Subtle emotions which everyone of us often have experienced. Right from the very first episode every character and every scene portrayed were refreshing.
A childhood love story often draws our attention for the first love is very innocent and is unblemished by a prerequisite of experience of pain. It all started beautifully when Suman Tiwary gasped hearing the name Shravan. Her journey reopening the once discarded precious book whose every word is crystal clear in her mind and echoes in her heart the only hope of her life.
Shravan incontrorary had shut his feelings with barriers of apprehensions amd assumptions. The storyline was very impressive and intriguing as the threads of the past knit the harsh present. But loose ends began making the show mediocre. Ever since the episode where Shravan insults Sumo as a part of his revenge game. Any self respecting woman would demand an explanation for such a behaviour. The writers could have handled it with a greater depth (Not being a Feminazi) . But Suman never asked for an explanation on that situation. It was completely shadowed by the case fought for her mother.
Yes friendship did brew between the two but if that one question was brought up it would have given Suman's character a greater impact. This was followed by petty house politics and Suman realising her true feelings for Shravan followed by the family politics which was quite mediocre.
If the writers wouldn't have rushed towards the case track it would have given a greater scope for character development. For the pain in love enhances it's true essence. The course of events that followed made an amalgam of rare combination of metals a mere stone. The most astonishing fact is the manner in which the animosity of Shravan with his mother is being dealt.
Here the key is that Shravan DoesNOT hate women as he believes his self acclaimed "facts" because if that was the truth he would have No trust on any relationship pertaining to any woman. If that was true he would have a problem with his aunt and SIL but he trusts and respects them. He is deeply hurt and DoesNOT want to take a chance in his own case considering the two women who mattered the most to him had failed him when he trusted them blindly.
He says that all women are the same but he actually believes so in his own case also considering the image shown to him by his father.
I beleive the Cvs should have firstly mended the broken trust of Shravan in case of Suman for she had to explain him about the reason behind her absence on that fateful day when he left. Regarding yesterday's episode I beleive that the focus should have been on Shravan's realization for his feelings in a greater detail. I wish the Cvs DoNot rush with storyline leaving loose ends.
The show has a great potential to be outstanding owing to the dazzling remarkable chemistry of the lead pair.
A gripping story line which could intrigue the audience will drive it par excellence.
