The Tale of Shravan Malhotra's Deep Wounds

Shravan Malhotra is broken beyond repair (he likes to think that) and this is what Suman needs to realise, that he feels he is an entity that has shattered into so many pieces that he's given up on picking them up.

As much as I love Sumo, I think she's yet to understand what exactly Shravan went through thanks to her and his mom. I know she's changed for the good, and what she did 10 years ago was unintentional, and childish, but somehow she still needs to get over her childishness. Suman realises Shravan is in pain, but what she doesn't realise is how deep his wounds run. She feels guilty but she has no clue exactly what repercussions her actions have had on Shravan in the past 13 years of their friendship.
I love Sumo, she one of the strongest female leads around and despite being in love, she's not stupidly lovestruck. But that doesn't change the fact that she is unintentionally guilty for a part of how Shravan turned out, and feels about her.

Shravan has faced rejection at the hands of two women who he loved unconditionally. He got over hating Suman because he saw the change in her which compelled him to change his opinion of her as well. He doesn't think of her along the lines of his mother who he thinks betrayed him, but he is in a fix because all these feelings for Sumo he had sidelined are resurfacing and he's afraid he's going to be as vulnerable as he was the last time. I don't blame him for fearing rejection, we all are terribly scared of being rejected and end up behaving in a manner that is not likely for us. His rudeness is just a result of the internal battle he is fighting, and losing.

The guy loves Sumo to the core. Even when he hated her, like after the reunion party, he couldn't keep himself away from her. Hate her, love her, help her, care for her, his being is incapable of avoiding her at all. He's angry with her like hell broke loose, and yet he cannot help but check her messages to know what she's gonna say. He cannot help but expect her to have called him, I bet for a second he hated his phone because it was guilty of keeping Sumo away from him by going dead. Even in today's episode, he innocently blurts out how he misses her. I say innocent because when it comes to Sumo, Shravan's feelings are real and fiercely passionate. It was an innocent mistake to blurt out that he misses her, which showed in his eyes as soon as he blurts the fact out (on a side not, applause for Namik Paul for the nth time). When Sumo is involved, his feelings run deeper than his wounds and his craving for her makes him do things that the suave-confident Oxfor returned lawyer would never do. Shravan craves for Suman like his life depends on her, and he is happy if she's in his life just as a friend, his best friend, rather than not having her at all at the cost of their friendship thanks to his love for her.

In my opinion, Suman needs to work hard to help Shravan fix his wounds and assure him of the fact that she will always be there, no matter what happens. As soon as things took a dip, Suman backed away from Shravan which is one of his deepest fears come true, of losing her. She took a step back hoping to fix things, but it shall only have a deteriorating effect on Shravan. I want to see Suman take a step ahead and tell him how she's always going to be there no matter how much he's going to push her. It would usually be a compromise with her self-respect, but if she realises how broken Shravan is, she wouldn't think she's putting her self-respect at stake. I want Suman to be the wall Shavan falls back on when his mommy issues are addressed. He can push her time and again, and she'll bounce back with all she has just to help him through it all. He needs to know that the past is history, and that there's no way Suman is going to leave him, ever, not even if he wants her to. She'll have to make it possible if she wants to truly help him fight his demons. This is one show where I want the girl to go ahead and confess first, of how deeply she's in love with him. That is the only way I think Shravan can be healed.

*Spoiler Alert*
I am not a fan of separation tracks, I am more the sappy story lover, and the news of a separation track ahead with such major confrontations has me rattled. But the writers have kept me happy until now and I actually trust them to surprise me with the story, so I think I'm going to wait for the silver lining of the separation track. Maybe Shravan pushing her away with hatred is gonna happen only because she's deeply involved in his mommy issues and that is when she'll have to fight back and tell him how she's not going away even if he hates her to the moon and back.

Suman Tiwari needs to help Shravan Malhotra pick up all his broken pieces and glue them together with the power of her love and friendship, but she also needs to make him believe that despite helping him put himself together, she loves every piece of him and she loves each piece with as much fervour as she might love him in single piece. It would only help if she gets him to believe that when glued together, she would still love his cracked entity as much as she was capable of loving with her whole and soul.

Everyone seems to be on a roll today! Such amazing write ups!
You're post is so deep, I can't even
Such a beautiful analysis of our leads👏

"As soon as things took a dip, Suman backed away from Shravan which is one of his deepest fears come true, of losing her." Word man! That is his focal point of delimma, his worst nightmare.. he knows, losing her now, he will never survive.

And the last paragraph,
"Suman Tiwari needs to help Shravan Malhotra pick up all his broken pieces and glue them together with the power of her love and friendship, but she also needs to make him believe that despite helping him put himself together, she loves every piece of him and she loves each piece with as much fervour as she might love him in single piece. So many feels! How do you write so well? This is beyond perfect.. got me to wonder, how deep is love truly.. that no matter the depth of hurt, love will revive.

Couldn't agree more, Sumo needs to step up and not back off. He needs her, he will push her away, she just needs to show him, no matter his persistence, she will be there for him, she will love him, she will be his anchor. The day he sees that, he will be free.

I loved the whole of it.
You wrote it all so beautifully ❤️

True that Suman realised that she has hurt him but what she does not get is its tooo deep and he is broken bad to be just glued back by sorry or being there beside him . He wants assurance maybe an explanation too.

And of course hats of to Namik for adding life to Shravan.

For your post- *claps*👏

You're post is so deep, I can't even thank you so much for saying so much by saying nothing *embarrassed*

That is his focal point of delimma, his worst nightmare.. he knows, losing her now, he will never survive. Suman backing off is killing him internally, he's just too hurt to admit it to himself, let alone admit it to Pushkar

Awwiiieee, these last lines are what triggered my post. I started off with a broken Shravan, and I ended with wanting Suman to love him without any conditions, so these lines are my favourite too 😳
