this is one show which is very simplistic writing .. no jugglery .. no layers .. this shows USP is in its .. nuances ... so its extremely important to focus on this .. Focus on the nuance ... u get the track ...
👏
Red, Thank you for these lines...I find Shravan written quite clearly, actually...in spite of his confused self...😆
Rekh,
😆 I must have sounded upset with Shravan...on his own, this guy and his psychological journey is interesting for me...but put Sumo near him , and I am bound to ask the Q why he can't simply see her for who she is.
Chick, u sweetie...we have had this thing going from IPK days...😉 I love u for this...🤗
fair question...Chick...but just like someone answers for Sumo, someone will answer for Shravan. In this specific case, let me put it this way...I am conjecturing here Shravan did see a Suman in the Khosla track, vulnerable and yet plucky...Yet at the close of the Khosla track she told him, "Please withdraw yourself from the case..how can I ever repay your favour" Do u remember a slightly curt response from him, asking her to leave as he had a case to fight the next day. (This is a hindsight thot for me). Sumo was absolutely right in her position but for Shravan it only meant that the chasm had only widened further. This is why I root for these two..essentially real sweethearts...just lost in the wilderness for now
Also, I wonder whether the Sumo confuses him...How has the Sumo transitioned through the years? Perhaps he is in doubt. She who can barge in and completely take over his life in a moment. (He perhaps lives for those moments) and yet she can casually tell him over the phone that nothing can be more important than her marriage announcement. So the penny dropped!!
Indrani,
That comment on her being jealous came soon after his male chef dialogue...so I take it as part of his blind belief that men are better than women...that is the part of the man I want to see changed ASAP! 😆
I noticed that I was asked one Q uniformly by the three of you: Why can't Sumo confess first?
Well...Because he never confessed to her...the letter never reached her...for whatever reasons...
Shravan made an effort to confess- and he retracted.
Sumo made many efforts to confess- and was met with by a 'I have moved on'...
Now it is his turn as far as I can see. 😉😆 Let us see.
Frankly speaking...more than who will utter the three magic words first, I want to see a Shravan who can respect Suman as a woman and as an entrepreneur...😃
Chick...respect between individuals is a given in any relationship, an absolute prerequisite: if that does not exist, it is not worth it ever. Increasingly, it is important for the messaging to be correct in entertainment mediums. But when I cast a careless eye across the spectrum, I see such trash in the name of women empowerment in Indian televison, that EDKV seems like worthy of Emmys equivalents really 😆😆
@bold Btw, the reason for my asking that question was purely becos of her having realised her feelings. The jury is still out on Shravan 😉 Is he? Isn't he? 😆😆. I did not know Chick..that u were keeping score. So now let's keep it fair. Shravan wrote the letter, left it and kept in a place for her view, asked her about it and she dismissed it summarily. He withdraws the note...😆 Now Sumo indirectly asks him to confess to the woman he loves without divulging she knows its her and Shravan says I have moved on. 😆😆 Question was this a level playing field? Hmmm...Sumo was 16 and Shravan is now 26 (tho mentally frozen at 16)
So according to u, its Shravan's turn...may be it is...may be he will just surprise us all😃
Until that happens, I don't want Sumo coming out with her feelings...And my guess is, as Shravan realises her true worth, he would automatically come out with the words. 😉
