I am confused Kriti.. I do believe they have changed slightly the tenor of Shravan's character. I hope I am wrong. He is one of the best male characters in a long time. I only hope they do maintain that. The day he swinged Sumo was when I really wanted to be in love.. with the idea of love. i only hope they do not change that.Originally posted by: .SankaDevi.
I mean I guess random hook-ups are more believable with regards to him than dating, but IMO neither really are consistent with his character. IDK why but I just think he lost interest, and then Sumo revived it.@bold.. He has not yet been shown as a guy who would also get involved in random hook-up.. that is totally inconsistent with his character.. the one we have seen so far. He has his trust issues... and he hates women who have their own nefarious designs (Urvashi for example), but he doesnt seem to be a guy who would randomly go in for a date... for fun or whatever. This is not Shravan Malhotra we have come to know and like. Could you explain what you meant when you say "he lost interest and Sumo revived it" I did not get this? Also, while I HATED what he said, the more I think about it in the context of abandonment & trust issues, I feel like as much as it sounded like use & throw to me (when I first heard it), it was more about don't get involved with someone who's serious as opposed to use & throw. Like I feel like he was telling Pushkar to "have fun" but with someone who's also just in it to "have fun" and like not "lead a girl on, 'have your fun,' and then throw her out" (it took me a while to get this though because I was just too angry upon hearing what I heard, that I just took it for face value). You could be right here... but, this would also imply that get yourself involved with a girl who has already been slotted into serious or non-serious category. And that is way too judgemental, though Shravan does act like a judge at times. And wouldnt this mean that he also did (or could) get involved with any girl whom he has believed to be not so serious.. and then of course, both parted ways having their fun as well as maintaining their single status. But, this again is not Shravan. He would not have taken offence to Verma if this were the case, though he could very well have said to Sumo to stay away from him. And that would be it. No thappads would have been there...at least not the second one😆I feel like he meant something along the lines of a mutual we-both-know-this-is-just-for-one-night/for-pleasure kind of hookup/Friends with Benefits type of thing where both parties are on the same page about this not being serious, as opposed to leading a girl on/using her & then throwing her. The reason I strongly feel this now that I think about it is that he has such a sakt disliking of woman because "woh sirf apna matlab nikalna jaanti hai" (as he puts across), so to think that he'd practice or advise anyone else to do the same doesn't make sense with his character.Ladkiyan sirf matlab nikalna janti hain is of course, a clear reference to his mother but then, as Sumo asked him the other day has he really not come across any nice women in his life so far? He is fine with having some fun with a girl.. just dont get serious... could mean also, he has had his share of fun in London. But, they were never serious from both sides... at least this is what he believes to be. What if one of them was...?Lemme know what you think, because this is what I do when it's almost 2 am and I can't sleep, I start introspecting 😆
