exactly - she needs a lot of character growth to match up to him otherwise it will always look like a relationship of unequals. if someone sees this in real life - he is a high profile sophisticated lawyer whereas she is a loud mouth chef who runs around without thinking twice (yes independent but thats about it). how in the world would someone like shravan fall for her in real life i mean????????? she should have apologized yesterday or asked his secretary before barging in. this is all needed if CVs want to maintain some realism here. otherwise this love story would seem forced - lets face it they are poles apart and i am not talking about social stature (though that matters in real life) - i am talking about maturity here. this is where i like sona's character sketch a lot more and in the other show & can actually relate to - same middle class background but far more mature and she knows when to calm down and pull back
hopefully, we will start seeing some good change in sumo soon - just my opinion here guys as i started watching the show because of sumo. but for now and the near future, its shravan who attracts me to it

i have a feeling we

I'm not saying I support shravan's belief... it's dead wrong but it's about perspective..
As a child he was scarred terribly..
He grew up watching his parents fight, that's no environment for sound development.. his mother left and the next thing his father does is show him what infidelity looks like.. which father does that? And then to top it he packed him off to London when he needed support the most.. basically his support mechanism crumbled.. his best friend, his love didn't care about his situation.. experiences and hatred stemmed in the childhood of a person have terribly deep roots.. his views won't change overnight . . He will realise eventually and that will be his undoing.. but it's going to take a lot of effort and a lot of eye opening...
In the mean time .. I'm enjoying the show.. loving the intesity👏

EXACTLY!! He was literally abandoned/ alone for 10 whole years with this negative mindset which only got worse and worse. It's not gunna change overnight! And I didn't like Sumo's response today, the way she almost mocked him for being all intelligent yet keeping this narrowminded thinking. He IS wrong of course but just that kind of a response from Sumo wasnt fitting. She should've been more tender considering all he's been through. Like that's not how you change people. I liked the challenge part though, I just hope its done maturely😊

Shravan is still same, I don't see it as a character change, but rather a different shade of him which we are seeing . As I was telling in another post, Human emotions are not one dimensional, or static, they are dynamic and multi layered.. you put someone in a situation, they react to it in a certain way, an amalgamation of how one reacts to different situations in one's life and how sorted he is, becomes is character and not just one situation, one reaction which can seal that person's character .

I like the subtleness with which his character is written, like he thinks women are selfish and manipulative, but he still respects them, doesn't cross line with them. He tries to put them down, with his intellectual sarcastic lines and a fake smile on his face ...(giving flowers to kitty ladies,) but that's harmless.

He was hurt twice by two most important people in his life, both being women. That disappointment, upset,. the judgmental views are all justifiable and reasonable. I wouldn't say he hates women , he doesn't .. but he is being defensive, by making such comments.. like building a wall of defense around himself, trying not to get close to any woman, only to be hurt and left by them later.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me,,, he is pretty much following this, .. he is hurt not once, but twice.. shouldn't he be careful and cautious ? Atleast when riding a bike,. I make sure to be safe than sorry .. after falling couple of times initially.. He doesn't want to be supposedly get fooled by woman again and again , he is safeguarding himself from any incurring future disasters or pain or humiliation or heartbreaks .

And I personally feel , it's justifiable, knowing Shravan, he has everyone, but at the same time he has no one to support him.. in such situations he has to safe guard himself and that is what he is doing .. when he said he doesn't want to get married... and had they left the matter there.. we wouldn't have witnessed this side of his.. but family members still tried to persuade and convince him into marrying which triggered his bottled up emotions.. he has to give the actual reason for his denial .. and the straightforward person he is , he said it all in one go .

This extreme, opinions of Shravan regarding women is all sudden, shocking and something new for us, but the situation in which he is at the moment is also new for him.. . Even in the past, with Urvashi,, he compared her to his mom and left.. ..but this time around,.. it was triggered by Suman, hence the reaction is even more profound .

For me, it's just another layer to Shravan's character.., which was shown until, but came out in certain situation. Just like we are not the same self in all situations.. and react differently to different situations ... so did he and that doesn't make it his base character. .. it rains only in monsoons... not before , not after.. this side of him is shown only now, not earlier, not later and we have to experience all seasons.. ermm all situations in these characters .

WORD👏
ESPECIALLY THE BOLDED PARTS! You said it so well! And I love how he already did realize his remarks were hurtful to Sumo and valued his friendship over their fight today. How beautiful was that?
