This is what I feel it is..

remember Ramnath explaining to Shravan long back about them being a big family. So I think they were living on ancestral wealth which was diminishing with each day. Also Ramnath wasn't unemployed per se.. but he was sitting at home meaning not getting cases but still doing minimal work from home.

What she means is that Ramnath was already misogynistic so he saw everything from his own POV & that's why until today, he doesn't see himself as wrong. And that is exactly what he ended up implanting in Shravan's mind.
