Bad episode....

I know i ll the lone dissenter amidst all the din of raving, gushing posts today but personally i dint like the episode at many levels.

Sumo was & is always 1st a friend to Shravan, all else follows after that. I ve always been unhappy with the way CVs dint show Suman regret even once the unfortunate childhood incident. She let him down as a friend & not as a lover. At that tender age what Shravan felt for Suman was more platonic friendship wala love. So after the silly Khosla track i hoped the only salvageable thing frm tat Khosla fiasco is Suman's realization of the depth of Shravan's friendship & how true friends always have each others' back. Then they s'd showed her regret for that incident & Shravan saying Dosti mein No Sorry, No thank you.

By making Suman reading the letter & then showing her to regret her past insensitivity, the CVs have belittled the value & worth of true friendship. What is the message that they are giving. What Suman did was wrong as a lover & not as a friend? Why this realization & regret only after reading the letter. Doesnt Suman know how important her friendship was to Shravan. Even during the I HATE YOU phase she always remembered how much Shravan valued her.

Maybe the CVs wanted to portray the growing feelings & finally Suman's realization of her love. But the way it was executed is not to my taste

Guys btw the intention is not to spread negativity or hatred. I liked everything else in the episode except the post letter sequence. Suman betrayed her FRIEND Shravan by not supporting him in his darkest hour. She failed as a FRIEND & not as a GF/LOVER. CVs ve messed up that part 😕

Its easier in friendship to forget and forgive but not if the person.is more than a friend... Sumo was shravan's first love and she broke his heart... If sumo was just a friend to shravan he would have forgotten.what sumo did to him and moved on completly and could have managed to forget her for real and not pretent..he wouldnt.have hold a.grudge over what happened... They only knew each other for 2 yrs and still sumo shared a.closer friendship with shravan than with pushkar whom she had known.way longer than shravan.

Suman thought of Shravan as a friend. But for Shravan she was much much more than that. That is probably why he went to such an extent with his revenge plan. We need to accept that in normal life such revenge don't happen. Nor do the childish scars stay without healing. Time always heals. Especially given that now Shravan is very very handsome and successful. There is no reason for that wound to all be raw.

Atleast this is how Sumo thought. .. till she read the letter. In reading the letter she understands how deeply he cared for her and as a result how much he actually got hurt. In the process she also realizes what she had and how she let it go.

There is a difference when a lover and a friend betrays you...

Sorry but again you are giving more importance to love over friendship. True lets b practical. For me obviously my hubby is more imp than my best friend. But in this case we are specifically discussing 1 incident i.e the incident where Shravan needed his best friend & Suman failed. Again i repeat she failed as a friend 1st coz at that age you need the moral support of a friend & not a lover. If they had shown Suman regret that incident & then show the letter as a different plot simply to make her realize Shravan's unrequited love, i w'd ve been fine with it. But showing her taking that incident casually till now without realizing how she had failed as a friend to me is a big let down by the CVs. Sorry but its just my personal view. I get that most of u dont see it that way, but i wanted to realize the hurt she caused 1st as a true friend before becoming a lover & not after the transition from friend to lover.

angels - i have always loved reading your posts and still do but i dont completely agree with what you said - i do think that they showed how she realizes she was wrong. she reflected on it today - i personally liked that touch instead of her remorse being stretched for months on end like in other TV shows. I am happy with the way they showed it - right amount of what was needed to move the story forward
