As regards you question, you actually point out something very pertinent

To the 'naked eye', it seems like Shravan is egging Sumo on...almost like he's leading her on...

But look a little deeper...if you notice Shravan's body language...there is nothing romantic about it...

Shravan has always been a "demonstrative" kinda guy...the "touch and feel" kinda a guy...

But if one notices his expressions very carefully...

He's as matter of fact as can be!

Case in point: Shravan's expression immediately after Sumo goes into a 'trance' during the 'cheek cleansing' moment😆 There was absolutely nothing flirtatious from Shravan's end, although he could have taken the liberty if he wished to...in that moment!😊

Hope this helps answer your "why did he"...
