Hello!
So, i don't usually write these review kind of posts, but Good lord, my brain and heart's gonna burst if i don't!
The episodes are just too damn good!
Okay, so,
It so happens that i fall in love with this show every day. But it's a poisonous relationship. After every episode, especially today's, i find myself singing taylor swift,
"i knew you were trouble when you walked in, shame on me now , it flew me to.places i've never been, now i'm lying on the cold hard ground...ooohhh"
The thing is, i was actually lying on the cold hard ground. I was sitting when the episode started but delirium leads to a person just slipping and not being able to give a f**k any more.
WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT SHRAVAN?! That phone call. So casual, yet flirty. This guy is a magician. He's making girls fall flat on their faces left right and centre! My exact thoughts were, "ohkay, you say it like that one more time, imma cook for ages for you" and i am not a fan of cooking!!
Sumo, i understand your feels. And i feel for you.
She looked so gorgeous today! Did anyone notice that she was trying on the dress from intro and shravan wore exactly the same thing from it?
What is it with these Malhotra boys and blue?!
Pushkar, my snowflake. Why must you do this? Why must you be so damn adorable? Him trying to fix his hair is so enlightening. I sat with my lips pursed trying not to shout!
Tip for the EDKV watcher: DO NOT WATCH THE SHOW WITH A PARENT IN THE ROOM. it's very hard to control your emotions!
Kitchen scene:
IF HE WERE THAT CLOSE TO ME, I WOULD HAVE PASSED OUT.
He leans in, that boy. Shravan, you mofo, you are such a tease! It left me hot and bothered, i pity sumo and also nikita who has to deal with this and act nonchalant!
I wanted to push his head from the behind to make it happen! I wonder how she managed to fo any work after that...poor sumo...
The food! Are you kidding me? That much food, could feed me for a week!
Now, my favourite part!:
The Achaar Scene:
Never in my life have i ever wanted to be an inanimate object as much as today. When pushkar offers to open it, it's pressed between his arms, I WANTED TO BE THE GOD DAMN ACHAAR KA DABBA!
But honestly, spectacularly executed scene! The casual camaraderie between preeti and pushkar is beautiful. It's like they dont see each other as romantic interests right away. And that is a fresh thing to see! I like how Shravan involves himself in this! Complimenting pushkar on his dabba-opning skills! And then pushkar very sweetly reminds her about the lid...*sighs dreamily*... Very neat, crisp and full of potential! Pushkar is my favourite ofcourse.
VANDY <3
You gorgeous creation of the almighty, you are like the cherry on top! Her scenes are so light yet beautiful, they bring joy to my heart as she is exactly like my best friend who lives in another country!
SUMO! Ek aur!...namik is so gifted! Those expressions could melt the antarctic.
Pictionary! Okay, i agree with Varun on this, my favourite game too! And pushkar's "aur kuch khilana baaqi hai?!" was just me falling flat in my face for him!
Ishaaro ishaaro mei baatein! Preeti, well observed! But i hope you're not thr one sneakily clicking pictures that are mentioned in the new olv!
Okay, some critical analysis:
What i absolutely LOVED in this episode is shravan and Sumo's friendship. It's open for all to see. Their families, are used to it. First, he asks where she is and walks to the kitchen in front of everyone and no one bats an eyelid!
Then the laddoo scene! He's being a kid with her, playing around like he used to, and she responds in the exact same fervour! Nobody creates an issue about that because that has been their usual since years! I love how simple it was, yet there was an undertone of a simpering flirty romance that went unnoticed.
2nd point!
I f**ken loved how comfortable both pushar and shravan made themselves at home!
This guy, jumps on a charpoy and is lounging on it as it is his throne! Like it has been his place since forever. Same goes for Pushkar, the ease with which he folds his legs and chills out is just so effective and yet casual. These boys are so casual in Sumo's house, i've never seen them chill like that at their place! It's like they became kids again! The food scenes, the pictionary scenes and basically every single frame today, established the familiarity between the characters. And that, i loved.
Shravan was not the Mr. Angry young man, BAMF, swagmaster lawyer today. He was just a kid, going for dinner at his best friend's place, with a little bit of shararat on his mind.
Standing ovation for mr. NAMIK PAUL. Take a bow, you sexy beast!
The team behind the camera, awesome job! Such a beautiful shot of the terrace wuth the skyline in the BG. As a media student and a photographer, i cant helpbut notice the shots, the angles amd the metres. Perfect to the T! The writers, take a bow, never have i seen such amazing pace in an indian show! The dialogues are mimd blowing!
I hope my post doesn't bore or bug anyone! Do leave your comments and opinions below and let me know if you all like it! Please excuse my typos, i suck at typing when my brain is streaming through. Thanks for reading and do tell me if you want similiar analysis for future episodes!
