Thought I had poured out all my sentiments in Dearest @PlainJane's wonderful post yesterday...
But guess I was wrong
Had underestimated the power of EDKV
To yet again
Effectively manage to stir the FAN in me...
So here goes...
A repeat telecast of my gushing!😳
Yesterday was indeed beautiful...would like to mention some additional nuances that I caught in the 12 AM repeat...
- The Sumo of today is truly a transformed individual...her ability to put everything else before her...ahead of herself...is so amazingly praiseworthy! The way she is shouldering this huge responsibility, not to mention, the complexity of it all...no wonder, Nanu has this blind faith in her...what a sharp contrast she is to the rest of the Tiwari members! Beautiful touch that, when Nanu clasps her with his "Kuch bhi ho jaaye, yeh ghar nahin bikna chahiye"...and, Sumo, for all her turmoil inside...once again, keeps herself aside...and, reassuringly, clutches him back!👏
- So many elegant metaphors used...
1. The book and the letter contained in it...and, Shravan's restlessness in trying to locate it...
The book and the letter are only external...it's the MEMORIES that Shravan desperately wants to hold on to!
Just like Suman...
I, for one, couldn't help but be reminded of how she had gone to end of the world to retrieve what she had herself dismissed as "Kabad"!
Their bond means the WORLD to them, but neither will admit it! That's the beauty...the achingly painful angst that inhabits the world of ShraMan!
Amazingly crafted, indeed!👏
2. The supremely well thought through moment...when Shravan keeps the book under lock and key...yet again, the book was only incidental to the scheme of things...it was a glimpse to the Shravan of yore...and...this young man too...the Shravan, who still keeps everything pent up inside, oblivious to the world outside...the placid exterior that seems completely unaffected...is just a wonderfully cultivated defense mechanism...the core is still the same, including the importance of Sumo and her memories in his life!
3. Shravan's note to his father...which screamed "HEARTFELT"! The one line that so remarkably stood out..."From your not so great son!" Once again, a beautiful glimpse into the real Shravan...the simple guy, who for all his achievements, does not take himself seriously!👏
4. The blink and you miss it line that Shravan uttered during his conversation with Mr. Scumbag...about Sumo..."agar usne kaha hai toh woh de degi!" 👏
So for ALL their warring showdowns, for ALL their altercations...for ALL of Shravan' ego...
He knows exactly what Sumo is all about...
His faith in her is sacrosanct !!
What a SIMPLE yet highly EFFECTIVE way to communicate what the ShraMan dynamic is all about!!👏
5. And finally, the LEGENDARY "knock"
The whole going down memory lane bit has obviously touched our hearts...
What a wonderful metaphor also for possibly a new beginning to unfold
For ShraMan to keep their differences aside
And a knock
To "revisit" their bond!!
Will conclude this post, with yet another dedication to the last 5 to 10 minutes of yesterday's episode...
The knock and thereafter...
What a beautifully crafted piece...so nuanced...so layered!
👏👏👏
- LOVED how when it came to the 'moment of truth', Shravan allowed himself to be stripped off all his ego...was definitely a tough choice, but the predicament was so completely worth it!😳
- LOVED Sumo's reaction on opening the door...the surprise tinged with excitement...was so hard for her to conceal ! In sharp contrast, Shravan had composed his senses by then...his own turbulence, concealed within...
- LOVED how Shravan was flustered, probably even apologetic, as that fixed gaze began to waver in response to Suman's "Abhi bhi kuch sunana baaki hai?"
- LOVED how for a moment they had actually revisited the past...how the astute Shravan blended with the Shravan of the days gone by, as he 'explained' to Suman... "Shhh...Raat ke do baje hai"!😆
And then finally,
LOVED, LOVED, supremely LOVED...
How Shravan left "Doston ke saath bahar tha...waqt ka pata hi nahin chala" in a trail...
And that look of awkwardness...his discomfiture as he uttered those words...
And finally, when Sumo saw through his lame excuses
She had sensed there was something possibly amiss
Underneath!
With a quizzing look, as Sumo looked at Shravan
He could continue no more
And turned his back
But Shravan's tussle continued...
And,
The real Shravan won
Free from all his trappings
Came straight to the point
As he, THE Shravan Malhotra
Almost pleaded to Sumo
"PLEASE, uss Varma ke pass mat jao"!!
👏👏👏
What a SUPERLATIVE scene that was
Brilliantly conceived by the makers...
Exceptionally executed by our talented duo!!
If Nikita just nailed it with her expressions
Right from Sumo opening the door
To seeing through Shravan's excuses
Namik was simply Superlative
In conveying such complex emotions
It was almost like he had internalized
Shravan's heart-breakingly beautiful dichotomies!!
A Heartfelt thanks for letting us into
Yet another incredibly beautiful facet
Of the ShraMan dynamic
Portrayed
In the journey
Called
"Ek Duje Ke Vaaste"
Keep up the fantastic work, Team
We're enjoying ever moment of it!!
❤️
Cheers!
