*VM at the bottom*

So this is a total throwback VM (#ThrowbackThursday 😆) on a song from the early 2000s that I just LOVE for ShraMan. It's called "Jaane Dil Main Kabse Hai Tu" from Mujhse Dosti Karoge. There are two versions of the song, I've incorporated both because each version fits each particular character rather well. I'm not a master-effects person, I did the best I could with Windows Movie Maker 😆 but I hope my intent of storytelling comes across because these two just send me over the moon with such beautiful, realistic, and heartfelt angst. I just can't help myself. ❤️ So this VM, I'd say, is a character-centric VM. Thank you EDKV for giving us such memorable characters.

On the concept: While Suman had happy memories to cling onto for the past 10 years she was able to spend her time realizing her love. On the other hand, all Shravan had was hurt, pain, and humiliation from the past that only reminded him that the one thing that'd meant the most to him (their friendship) was a lie. But even then, deep in his core, he couldn't stop loving her. She's always been in his heart (thus the song, jaane dil main... 😆❤️) and she always will be. The way they love each other is individual, but the extent to which they've fallen is the same.

Ten years of waiting.

Two separate paths--one realizing her love while the other reveling in the pain of it.

One core, which is still the same.

As for me, I'm waiting for the day Suman reflects on the past and genuinely apologizes so we can get our happy ShraMan ❤️ For now, hope you enjoy the VM.

Kriti, I'm logged in through my mobile so I can't add GIFs to express the emotions I felt while watching the video & after the video. So I will try to put it all down in words.

First, A BIG WALA HUG for this absolutely beautiful video. It was so so perfect. You outdo yourself each time. I loved every bit of it right from him returning, her excitement, the humiliation, the calm after the storm, to the pain playing out when he received the jewellery. The lyrics were so so apt & your editing was so spot on in bringing out those emotions through the right video clips. Voice-overs...ahh! So well placed & the exact right dialogues used.

My favourite bits

1. The rubik cube bit in the beginning & icing on the cake was Dabbu's voice..it had that film wali feeling I don't know how to explain it. Like it was so nostalgic, & just emotional. Like you could really feel the connect with it that he returned after 10 years. It wasn't just kuch bhi ainvayi😆 And of course, Shravan's swag in that walk there as he solved the cube..

2. The bit when iss dil pe lagte hai chot..apno se milte hai jo.. love the flashback there & the way Shravan turns his face trying to look distant & cold, but yet clearly hurt. So telling of his hurt, because he got it from her.

3. Main paas apne nahin..bas dur jabse hai tu.. AHH the way she is crying & so heartbroken. And the most beautiful bit..even though he is standing next to her, offering her a tissue, he is so clearly distant. Lovely bit.

4. The way he is left standing alone after she walks away.. and that voice over in these 10 years did you ever try to contact me. SO SO PERFECT, as he stood there all alone, just like how he's been all alone in the past decade, with the whole jaane dil mein kab se hai tu playing.

This VM is gonna stay with me for a long long time, for the story you told through it. I could feel the angst, the pain, the good times...basically I could feel their connection with each other in this video. You brought it out beautifully. Their hearts still do beat as one, despite those 10 years that they spent apart.

Your VMs always make me emotional, but in a good good way because you just bring out the best of the show & ShraMan through it (not that ShraMan aren't the best..but you get what I mean, right?😆)

Also Kriti, if there is one song other than the EDKV title track that is so ShraMan, it is this song. THE WHOLE SONG. Like it screams ShraMan. Hats off for that song choice

Haha one of my favorite bits too, I was like this couple has so many facets to them, I HAVE to include the nok-jhok somewhere, so here we go 😆 it was a short bit, but I'm glad it made an impact and that you liked it ❤️

So telling of his hurt, because he got it from her. YESSS NAMIK WAS SO GOOD IN THAT SCENE I LITERALLY PLAYED IT OVER A BAJILLION TIMES BEFORE ACTUALLY GETTING MYSELF TO EDIT IT. THE WAY HE WAS LOOKING WAS JUST LOVVEEE. And in the actual video, he was watching her leave, I just edited to make it look like he was looking away 😆 but both things are soo telling of his hurt because even as he was watching her leave, he was trying to look indifferent.

MY FAVORITE PART OF THE VM! I'M SO GLAD IT MADE IT TO YOUR HIGHLIGHTS ❤️ Ugh that part just gets me weeping for him like a BABY.

I thought I'd seen you somewhere before! I didn't want to point it out on the AT but now I recall, you wrote Humari Adhuri Kahani on the Badtameez Dil forum right? At least I think you're that Kriti right? If not then please excuse me, this is probably super awkward 😆 but I'm pretty confident (I may or may not have stalked your posts 😆).

Excited to see you here, love your fangirling posts, but even more excited to see the creations you create for this show (semi-stalking/bookmarking all your links, I swear I'm not meaning to creep 😆) But I had to comment on this because a. I love this song, wondered if anyone even remembered it, so glad to see you made a VM on this and ShraMan because it fits them to the t and b. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL.

Every scene felt handpicked, love your attention to detail. The story you're trying to tell is very much being told ❤️ And ShraMan are just love. You're VM highlights just perfect aspects of them to go with this song, love it love it soo mcuh!

Personally I loved the moment where he was offering her a napkin, and though he was right there, she felt the distance ("Bas door jabse hain tu...")! Masterpiece! Brought out the heartbreak that is the essence of ShraMan, not to mention all the shots you chose are quite aesthetically pleasing.
