I'd go with the third wheel in a love story option. It was kind of predictable.

The guy is digging a big hole for himself with his actions and barbs.

Going by the promo, she is mighty pissed. Not surprising the barbs she faced in the precap were low. They would probably be forced to work together.

Liked the end of the episode. Suman would not longer cry for him. There is some hope there.
