Chick, for this post, you deserve a BIG WALA HUG!

On to the post, you expressed ShraMan's state of mind so beautifully. Its time people started looking beyond Suman vs Shravan because even though they're 2 different individuals, they're meant to be one unit. I wish people understood that they're both hurting. Its not about right or wrong, but its more about how they're reacting to each other. If we were to trace back in time as to who started this whole conflict, everyone will have different viewpoints. For some, it would be Shravan's mistake for letting someone else become the centre of his universe & giving another person that power over him. For some, it would be the way Suman humiliated Shravan. For some it would be Shravan choosing not to look back even as Suman called out & for staying away for the past decade.
Despite all this conflict, they've always been connected to each other. And so if Suman has hurt Shravan today, somewhere she feels the effect of it on her life too. Giving away her mother's jewellery was not easy for her, but she had to, because she couldn't just take his money like that. And that too, from a person who humiliated her at the party, & termed her a gold digger. She has been working so hard all these years to repay the debt to her relatives & so she understands the value of money & how important it is. It is somewhere due to this money that she remains slightly more repressed in the house.
I won't speak about Shravan because I think all of us have discussed him to death, based on Friday's episode. Just want to say that people find it easier to relate to Shravan & feel for him, because he wears his heart on his sleeve & displays so much emotional vulnerability. Suman, on the other hand, is very guarded, practical & level headed. She doesn't let her emotions show. And its only human to root for & love the character that is more emotional.
But really both of them are valid in their thinking & can I say that I love both of them. I hope they start looking beyond themselves soon, to realise their own faults as well, & the consequences their actions are having on each other. I really really hope the spoiler about Shravan saying yes is not true.

Sorry if my post was a little all over the place..I just had so much to say & I had to respond quickly.

Thanx, Samridhi.

That was some hug!😆

You have analysed the forum well actually...and why Shravan gets more sympathy.
Actually I felt this episode belonged to Shravan because he was hurting for the Suman who cried in her mother's memory...it was a glimpse of the old Shravan who came out of his hiding place...though I am sure Shravan will be quick to send him back...he is too guarded to get hurt again.
But Sumo...Our Brave little Sumo.❤️

Actually I want him to say 'yes' to the engagement. Not for the jealousy angle...So Sumo can firmly say that she has moved on and their further interactions will force them to hide what they actually feel for each other. It is a good platform to build their friendship on.😉

@chick, you have said it all. 👏 You have a wonderful way to represent the inner turmoils of these two characters. 🤗
Coming to the friday's episode, the most wonderful part was how memory, their shared memory clouded their present hurt and anger. If Sumo's eyes were questioning, probing the deepest recesses of Shravan's heart whether he remembers her actually beyond her bluster, her loud mouth behaviour then Shravan's realization that somewhere along Sumo has misconstrued him, his ten years of angst, his love for her beyond the very public hurt and humiliation.
Its not a question of who is wrong or right but how you are going to respond to a situation. And I must say both have responded in a manner which is so like them.Yes, Shravan is more likeable, he wears his heart on his sleeve... but, Sumo is something different. A very, very real person... I am in love with show. And thank you once again for this post

Beautifully written chick :-)
The episode was really nice ,to soem extent I think both of them knew the other person knew what the significance of the jewellery
And I think they will try and move on for.now untill the case ofcourse

Suman POV I think self.respect.was one ,but she also wanted to give Sravan incident a closure becuase they reached the dead end
And somewhere its was very hard to move on as difficult as parting with her precious possession but still she did both

Thanx, Indrani.
Once again, you have highlighted why most of the forum can sympathise with Shravan more...Sumo is more of an enigma as she is to Shravan, I suppose. And there are so many things we don't know about her- what happened to her in these ten years...what was Pushkar hinting on? Was there a specific incident or was it just a series of events? Whatever it was she seems to have developed an excellent coping mechanism...Interesting that she'd rather avoid Shravan than confront him after the showdown...Indeed, so much in love with this show.❤️
