Yes, you heard me right. I just thought about it again and realised that he has used his brain and heart and done the right thing! He could have just let all those memories get suppressed right in his heart and hold that grudge for lifetime... But no! He planned an occasion, smartly made sure sumo came and then insulted her in front of everyone like she had done. I still don't approve of that but just think, he had the situation controlled in his hands... What if he would have waited to strike at her in a harsh manner and hurt her beyond the limit? Yes, being powerful he COULD have done that... But here he just made sure she got to know what was being insulted.. How does it feel to be laughed at!
And then at the end he also said that he was so hurted and so was she now...
That made both of them stand on the same path.

He would never have done that unless he cared for someone deep down. This way he removed all his buried feelings subtly, at the same time not being cruel in revenge!
A good thing to realise and see! Well done Mr. Malhotra!👏

Yup ! You are absolutely right. I agree he could have done far worse than this . Sumo needed this to realize her mistakes.

While I understand why he did what he did, saying that he cares because he could've done much worse is like..saying instead of stabbing someone in 50 different places on the body, someone cared enough to stab only in 1 place. It doesn't matter how small or big an act is, it is the act itself that matters. Also, I honestly would've respected him so much more if he just held the grudge. Because what he did, go through all that elaborate planning just to get back at her, was worse than what she did. She may have failed him as a friend (which I agree with, she was not a good friend to him), but he failed as a person. Suman, even as a teenager, was very open about how much her image mattered. He knew that and obviously understood it, bc he agreed to only talk to her in secret. If the current Shravan told her straight up how much he hated her and why, I would've appreciated him so much more, bc he would've had the chance to let it out and show her what she did to him. But to beg someone to come to a party, buy her a dress, and then insult her that way..that I don't agree with. And I definitely do not agree with the whole "he cares for her" logic. He may care for her, in his own weird way, but his act of "not hurting her as much" was not because of that reason.
