This OS is more of like Shravan's thoughts...
Situation- SuVan had shifted to Mumbai after running away from their homes. Suman applied to AFMC after 5 yrs of Med school while Shravan pursued Law & became an Army Lawyer. They had been married for 20 years and (in between these years) Suman gave birth to a son. Few years after Pranav's (their son) birth, Suman died because of brain tumor. This OS takes place after Suman's death & Pranav is 22 now.
Please play this song on the background while reading the OS-

The drive towards the cemetery was a quite one. No, not awkward, just quite, comfortable. Pranav was driving the car and very stealthily looked over to his passenger seat, where Shravan was staring outside the window. He switched on the radio and Suman's favorite song had just started; well actually, it was Shravan's favorite because of it's guitar strings, but Suman took it too because of the lyrics.
"to call for hands of above... to lean on..."
this was her favorite lyric. She even got this line tattooed on her arm. Shravan asked her on numerous occasions why does she like the song so much? She would only reply this lyric. Till date, he has not yet figured out what this lyric meant.
"Dad, can i ask you something?"
"Hmm..."
"What was Mom to you?"
Shravan just chuckled. "Brigadier Sumo. My Sumo was everything to me. My soulmate, my The One, my bestfriend, the love of my life, my person, my last, first kiss, my mosaic-broken heart. She was also my downfall, my undoing, my end and my beginning... she was my.. my haunting, beautiful disaster!"
"Dad, meine aapse yeh puchcha tha that what was Mom to you? Not ki aap Mom ka answer unhi pey apply karke mujhe batao!"
"It's one and the same, Pranu. Ok... so.. yaar.. kaise bolu ki woh meri sab kuch thi! ab bhi hain. aur I guess, marte dum tak rahegi!"
"Alright. That's not happening. let's make it like this. Pick one of the two for her- Soulmate ya "The One"?"
The dumbfounded look on Shravan's face made everything clear to Pranav. He still couldn't decide what to say to his own son! Exasperated he said what every Indian father who has had a love-story will say to his child one day-
"Tujhe abhi tak pyaar kaha hua hain Pranav. Dekh na, jis din hoga, tab tujhe samajh aayega!"
He was internally beaming at his own reply when Pranav's chuckle shattered all of his built-up confidence.
"Rehne do yaar. Mom sahi bolti thi, ki 'Shravan tum jaane do. Tumse nahi hoga kuch bhi!' "
Both the boys laughed at remembering Suman saying this line to Shravan so many times...
Pranav stopped the car and gestured Shravan to look outside. Their gaze finally went to the board of "Bhopal Army Cemetery".
He looked over to Shravan who looked surprisingly very calm, although if anyone who ever knew him, knew also about the fact how broken he was after his Sumo's death.
They came out of the car & started walking towards her grave. With every step, the flashbacks of his life spent with his Sumo flashed in front of his eyes - how they met at the Army party, how he got admitted to the Army School, his life there, the Buddy system, the play, how they became friends, how he fell in love with her, the 10-days deadline, her confession, their dating period, which got cut short when they got caught, how with the help of Bunty & Kanchan, they had to run away. They did come back after 4 days, in order to convince their parents, but to no avail. Hurt, but they had this belief that one day, their parents will accept them, they left Bhopal. Secretly, with the help of Shravan's Rajendra Chachu & Suman's Beena Chachi, Shravan worked hard & got admitted in ALC, Pune while Suman got admitted in ACMS, Delhi. They missed each other a lot & somehow would take time to talk to each other & spend some quality time. After graduating from ALC , Shravan applied in the Indian Army & Suman too became an Army Doctor. All this while, SuVan were in a long-distance relationship & only after they became successful in their careers, they approached their families. Col Vijay was initially angry but on the inside he was touched by the fact that SuVan didn't get married w/out their families. Thankfully, BB had owned up to his mistakes by then & ViRaj had forgiven him somehow. SuVan got married in a beautiful, Indian wedding & SuVan would be posted throughout India. Shravan remembered the day when he had returned a bit injured from his mission but Suman instead of being sad, was extremely cheerful & after a few hours, she showed the positive pregnancy result to Shravan. His happiness knew no bounds & they informed their families this great news. Suman took maternity leave & came to Bhopal to be with the families. 2 weeks later, Shravan joined them & told the families that he wants to be with his Sumo & his kid - he doesn't want to miss this phase of his life- handling her tantrums, the doctor visits, fulfilling her craving wishes - he wanted to be a part of everything. Suman got so emotional that she hugged Shravan in front of everyone. Soon after 9 months, Pranav was born. A few months later, SuVan resumed their Army duties & Pranav was brought up as an Army Brat.
Shravan placed a small bouquet of fresh red roses & the boys saluted Sumo. He remembered the day when he came to know about his Sumo's tumor. Shravan was soon to be promoted as a Major & was ecstatic when he heard the news. He rushed to meet Suman but she was nowhere to be found. He waited for his Sumo but even after 8, he couldn't find her. He then went to her office & saw her lying unconscious on the floor. By this time, Pranav was around 14-15 yrs. He quickly got her admitted & after a thorough check-up from the Army Neurosurgeon, Capt. Dr. Khosla, it was determined as a cerebral hemorrhage. Suman did not have many hours to live. Pranav was shocked to his core, but if anyone had seen Shravan, it looked as if his soul had been sucked out of his body. With heavy steps & an equally heavy heart, he somehow went inside Sumo's room. He sat near her & gently took her hand in his. Seeing his Sumo like this, he couldn't help it & just kept muttering - "I'm sorry Sumo. I'm sorry. Please apney Shravan se itna naraz mat ho. Please wapas aa jao. I love you Sumo, I love you so so so much.. mujhe tumhari zaroorat hain. Pranav ko tumhari zaroorat hain. Pata hain.. mujhe na Major promote karne waale hain next week. Tum rahogi na waha? mein.. mein chahta hu ki tum aur Pranav tum dono waha raho, aur jab mujhe yeh log Major kay medals pehnaye, tum dono aise zor-zor sey clap karke, mujhe salute karna. Sumo utho na pls... I'm sorry Suman. I'm sorry." Unfortunately, Sumo had breathed her last breaths & she never woke up.
The following month, when Shravan was being promoted to Major, Pranav got up clapping & saluted his father while having tears in his eyes & a proud smile on his face. Shravan smiled seeing Pranav, but he also saw his Sumo standing next to Pranav, clapping & saluting her Shravan with a proud feeling.
Pranav-Shravan sat down near her grave. they started reminiscing about Sumo when Pranav asked Shravan about Soulmates.
"Dad when do you know?"
"Know what?"
"That the person in front of you is your soulmate? That he/she/they is the person you've been waiting for all your life? That he/she/they is 'The One' for you?"
"I don't exactly know. But all I know is that your heart knows. Your heart will be the one to tell you."
"About my soulmate or 'The One'?"
"Both. But don't mistake one for another. For some, their soulmate and 'The One' can be the same person."
"But what about the others? Would they have to choose? You know... between their Soulmate and 'The One'?"
"Some of them do Pranav. But if your 'The One' is understanding, you can have both in your life."
"But what if, hypothetically, my Soulmate & 'The One' don't get along & I have to choose, whom do i choose? What should I do?"
"Your soulmate. Choose your soulmate."
"Really? Why?"
"well, firstly, if the other person was really "The One" for you, he/she/they will never ask you to choose them in the first place....
but secondly, and most importantly... souls never die. They just re-unite with each other after a long search of their own kind."
I hope you all like it.
This was my attempt for making Mohika wala SuVan memorable for us as many of us will be quitting this show after this week.
