Another thing with public transportation is that sometimes it's not very reliable and sometimes it's too overcrowded so you won't even be able to board. In college, I would only take the campus or city bus only if I was not in a hurry or coming back from class....but trying to get a bus in the morning was almost impossible

yeah they will ask for a drivers license...for me also, i would take the subway/bus mainly for two reasons

-the parking at my uni was hella expensive but it was near my house so it was a commutable distance..but my commute wasnt that bad except for morning rush hour times but in the afternoon, it was much better

-there were times where my sibling would drive me (so saving some money) bc he works a bit far (not too far but it was in NJ where driving a car is imperative) and unfortunately we have 1 car so thats why..sometimes, i had night classes, so somebody would pick me up esp during my MS times..i still remember my schedule...😆ahh those days
