EDT is a finite series then why does trp matter? - Page 2

forget EDT...this trps system needs to be destroyed...it has destroyed some real beautiful shows in the past...

They should have never shown vyom to be too perfect only to turn him too negative. Let me know if there's another good show on another Chanell. I really want to watch EDT for Vikram acting skills as I got to know Vikram through EDT but I can't risk getting my vanya memories ruined for a story that have been on tv a million times.

Watch yeh un Dino ki Baat hai! It's the most realistic u will get in Indian serials and lovely to see the good old days setting! I love it! No saas bahu drama and no loopholes! Comes on Sony at 10.30pm after EDT.

@krish - the issue isn't that they have shown Vyom negative but that this storyline is too predictable and been shown way too many times.

It's also a bit frustrating that they have already shown who the killer is. They could've shown Vyom as psycho but still shouldn't have revealed that he killed Shiv. Someone who loves a girl obsessively js fine and atleast the suspense would be there.

This is like they have shown us the ending and now these are just fillers.

It's just so typical abt girl getting revenge and all.

Fans feel let down because they were promised a different story.

And VSC had said in an interview this is a finite story-whether that has changed or how long the series is I have no idea

I don't think it's about her getting revenge...it doesn't fit into the plot...her journey of finding the killer may have sth else to offer!!The show has a very +ve format...it's like notebook!!...but I agree it's a good Watch!!

Trp is a product of unsupported maths! The slots should be divided such way that target audience is different...youth shows can occupy late night slots,7:30 is not a time for love stories (in India)...also shows that garner higher trp has the same story...jus that characters name n region to which they belong differ!!

They build up stories in 2 month, before actual story starts, fans heard air off news. Its really hurts. Its ruin actual flow of story/serial.

We involved our valuable time and money, but for channels money and profit matters.

I actually don't understand some serial still running from 10-13 yrs. Are they gaining trp. Now a days mostky craps serials still running.

Totally agree. Why can't they follow an English type system. Even if a show doesn't work they still make it from start to finish.

@ Krish you cant compare the two shows as they are different genres but yeah I do feel it's a better watch the EDT! Tho I must say I was gripped till manali track but I just am not happy with how the ghost' has been dealt. Shiv lurking around now as a helper of Sharanya to seek revenge - that's all it will be. I don't know I expected a lot more.

Yes ofcourse I would've loved it if Vyom was grey and not black but honestly us guessing he is the murdrerer then it turns out that he isn't wudve been a much better ending.

Now we know that he is doomed and his reason for killing Shiv doesn't justify his illness' he did do it ruthlessly which he admitted. He came into the picture and between me and Sharanya so I got rid of him.

I wanted Shiv's murder to have a bigger motive than only this. Best wudve been if they had kept it all under wraps and turned out that the sweet Chachi was the murderer! Lol! The best part abt thrillers are that U can guess till cows come home but u still get it wrong! That suspense is what keeps the audience gripped.

Ydays epi I felt bored because I knew Vyom was just chatting rubbish. His love no longer seems genuine as it did before. That disappoints me.

So I feel why wud they have show such a typical story when they had set out with an end goal in mind?

But his illness does justify what he does...I would really feel sympathetic to such people!!! They can't do anything to stop!! Here you need to think from vyoom's side N shivs side...N yeah...everything is fair in love and war!!!...it's really refreshing to see a popular actor not a typical villian package is playing the negative part!!!

@ Krish Agree with u abt all characters being grey can't make a love story but wudnt it have been more interesting if they were all different sorts of Grey? I don't know Shiv was much better in the first half and now he has become like a bechara ghost.

And ofcourse its a treat to watch VSC as a villain, he did a small portion of it in his previous show and nailed it! He has great potential so ofcourse I want that they show this side of his Cos he really does it well! I just didn't like the fact that he was the one to kill Shiv. That's a typical story isn't it. Yeah don't show him as a good guy and in the end he still cudve been just as twisted but if he had a good bone in him, no matter how ill, he wudnt have been capable of killing whereas we cudve been shown that it has to be him only. Now where is the suspense to keep u going?

Isn't it that only fans will now be watching the show for their fave but not for the story cos now 9/10 times we know how the show will end. That is what dissapoints me.

When has this illness revelation been? Have I missed it? And honestly for me it's hard to feel sorry or sympathise with Vyom's act of killing because that's saying all criminals anyway do such things due to some psychological disorder and there for it makes it ok for them to murder or rape? Course not!

N his obsession for Sharanya isn't love at all. Ideally I didn't want a Darr type scenario but that his obsession has love in it that he wudnt harm her in any way but he did harm. He pushed her so hard in the 'possesion' track that she cudve hurt herself badly, or when he tried to rape her or when he dumped her in that well. That can't be love and so audience I don't think will be able to relate/sympathise with Vyom at all.

I do think CVs have messed up in the hope to gain trps that's all and as usual stories get compromised for trp. Finite or not.
