Just would point out a few things you mentioned-
1. Shiv's hatred was definitely not directed towards Vyom till him and Sharanya became friends in the present. Shiv only started hurting Vyom since they became friends.
2. Vyom couldn't just have been her best friend. Even in solitary, Vyom kept getting flashes of them being together and in love (since the very first scene of the first episode).
3. The musibat could have well been something she got to know about Rajan.
4. Lastly, if your assumption about ShivAnya being or going to be married is based on the lines Vyom said after getting possessed, then I'm not sure how reliable an assumption it is. 😛
He said stuff like "Ismein kya hain jo mujhmein nahin?" and "Hone de na shaadi, tere baap ka kya jaata hain?", so I'm not taking all that too seriously. 😆
