Reemeber guys, Othello mistook Desdemona and indeed killed her and killed himself? In modern theory, Othello is a jerk and cannot be an epitome of heroic love, whereas for Shakespear he was one of the eternal lovers, if you read the novel, you cry for Othello, Love is twisted and it can be destructive too.
