The comparison to Shiva was always implicit as in their names and his long hair and his reclusive nature!!!!!!

That was us!!!!😊 😊

And is most stories the writers don't say everything explicitly, it is up to the audience to draw comparisons!!!!!

As you said the comparison was implicit in the name. Still it was a comparison. No one said he is Shiva, did they? Here Mrithyunjay has been given the name of Christ. Anyway, as I said, I think I should just stay away from this forum which cares two hoots about sentiments.

Thank you for removing the offensive term 'cult' from your post. I would be happy if you could remove the word 'Christ' from the title of your post too. Mritunjay is not Christ. I would be happy to see MJ being shown alive today (the third day) much like Christ's resurrection. I understand that point you are making but it can be done even without conferring him the name of Christ, which to me and many others is sacrosanct.

Shaina, for your kind information, this is the post I had addressed to Rama. Now tell me where did I attack her? It was a request to have the word 'Christ' removed from the title. Anyway, I am done with arguing with you as there is no point in it. As I said, this is the last post I am making in this forum.

And I really felt it is not wrong to draw analogy!!!!

My teacher once drew a comparison with Christ while teaching a short story in class!!!!

I personally feel people get too senti over small things!!!

Yeh comparison kyun huya??Why is the movie called Ram-Leela when it is not about Ramleela??😔

Hi everyone,

A few points which I'd like to address with this note:

1. The issue being raised here by some of our Christian friends is the fact that MJ is being called Jesus Christ. The issue is NOT with the comparison to Jesus Christ and the Easter Tridum.

2. Religion is a VERY sensitive issue. It would be best to discuss the topic at hand instead of attacking one another for their beliefs and thoughts, because that constitutes as a personal attack of sorts, something which is not condoned on IF. Any further such instances, and all those involved will be receiving Warning PMs.

3. thrower- I'd sent you a PM regarding the issue around 12 hours ago but since you haven't come online and the title of this post is leading to arguments and fights, I am taking the liberty to change the title to make it less offensive towards our Christian friends on the forum. Feel free to PM me to further discuss the matter should need me

Thank you, DT for respecting my sentiments and altering the title. I was saddened yesterday that even polite requests were construed as attacks, although I withdrew from further arguments when I knew it wasn't worth it. Your fairness in dealing with this matter has restored my confidence in the forum.
