I mean Kala could have so easily killed MJ without being a drama queen but Tara being present is always a sign for.her saving MJ. She went on the trip to find Radha and she saved them there. She went with him to save Radha from Kala, she saved him there too. So Tara being present means something will happen that will prevent him from dying but perhaps will temporarily stop his pulse which will allow him to fake and kick Kala's ass!
