The Dhruv Effect

The massacre of characters seems to have started with the advent of the new CV, Dhruv. Viraf in his interview had mentioned that Gaurav the then CV is going to be replaced by Dhruv and today's casuality of this change seems to be JR. A man who stood by his foster son in all his trials, who believed in his innocence without any evidence, supported his daughter-in-law in all her efforts to free him, now turns around and believes his brother who always made his hatred for the man known? That too a cheap lie that MJ and Tara are after his wealth? If this is not character assassination, what is? I can tolerate any amount of non-sense and illogical plots they show us but this level of inconsistency in character portrayal is beyond me.

I hope they redeem JR saying that he was aware of the truth but pretended he did not believe Tara, fearing for her life. If not, what can I say? Saba Mumtaz, you don't seem to care for your baby! Thanks for burying a beautiful Father-in-law - daughter-in-law relationship. It is indeed a black Tuesday for me.

I don't agree with you that this is needed for story progression. If Tara needs to be isolated the same could have been achieved by her not being able to find the evidences to prove what she said and JR thinking the poor girl has gone unbalanced because of all the shocking events of the last few days. I don't think a CV who had created a character can destroy it this way for he would have known what his character is all about. Hence I suspect the change of guard has started this. Hope they do some damage control.

I don't agree with you on this one. I feel this was needed in the story to get it moving and Baba really wasn't doing much for MJ's case anyway. If you guys are interested in my opinion then read my latest post :)
