About consummation happening or not happening, this is what I wrote in another post.
Pointers to why consummation would have happened.
They got Tara to faint and postpone MJ's arrest by a day. Now why was that, considering not much happened after MJ returned to the mansion and left the next day (at least till today's episode).
A newly wed husband and wife who are very much in love with each other, who had an unfinished SR the previous night and are emotionally high strung because they know they will get separated the next morning are bound to want more than just a good night kiss.
Tara was draped in her Karva Chauth saree, revealing yet concealing her shapely body. Now why was that? Just to go off to sleep?
Well after all this, there is still a possibility that consummation may not have happened.
Maybe Tara got dressed in that saree to remind MJ of the night she kept the fast for him for his long life and hence it was a means to assure him and herself that he will be out soon. Or maybe MJ may have asked Tara to dress up in that saree because he did not get to see her in all her glory that night (as he was more worried about hiding his dada then)
Maybe they did want to consummate after MJ got turned on seeing sexy Tara but their wounds got in the way. Tara did have a huge bandage on her arm and MJ would have not wanted to hurt her more. Or maybe just as they were getting close, they remembered they just lost Mj's childhood friend and the sole witness/alleged victim that morning and decided to postpone for the moment. Or MJ would have restrained himself, wanting to take their relationship to the next level only after he is fully free.
So both possibilities of consummation happening and not happening are there.
From the point of CVs, I think they deliberately inserted that scene today to up viewer interest and intrigue. Now they can show the rest of the night in bits and pieces with each or both of them recalling what happened that night as and when they get a trigger to jog their memory.
And yes, as Piya pointed out they seem much more cozy after Radha's death than before, especially Tara. Remember the way she was clinging to MJ when he was being taken away to prison? Now that seems like the way a normal couple would behave if they have experienced the joys of being intimate with each other but have been/are being deprived of it now.
Coming to Nandu-RP observation, yes I agree with you that both are misdirecting their hurt for their own shortcomings. Both aspired for something they could not have, or were being deprived of and they felt their siblings were somehow responsible for that.
RP felt that because of his sexual orientation, he did not get his father's love and more importantly, his respect, things which his brother got in abundance. He could not live the life he wanted (freely acknowledging that he was a transgender). In his twisted mind, he thought that JR is responsible for it because JR himself was able to lead the life he wanted without any fear of rebuke. Whatever he (JR) did was appreciated and accepted by his father while he himself was punished, shunned and ridiculed. JR brings an orphan and the old man loves him more than his eldest son. A 'worthless' boy with no pedigree gets love while he gets rebuked. So he hates JR and MJ, the two people his father loved the most because it is he who craved for his father's love and they got it instead.
Nandu had a similar life. She wanted her mother to give her all the attention and love but her sister took it all. Her irresponsible nature always got her scolded by her mom. She aspired for riches and comfort and Tara got it all. What is worse, the alliance was meant for her and Tara intervened and snatched it from her. Had she not done that, she would have married MJ, the prisoner, who was safely locked away in prison, lived her life of luxury in the palatial house and continued her affair with Adi, hoodwinking everyone in that house. This is called having the cake and eating it too. Unfortunately Tara did not allow her to even have a glimpse of that cake. Just like RP, she could not live the life she wanted and both her mother and sister were responsible for it. She has not seen the struggles Tara went through to get her husband's love. She did not see Tara rough it up in UC when her husband went there. She thought Tara was always enjoying the lap of luxury. That is why she was trying to brainwash JR yesterday. Since JR has seen for himself how Tara lived in that house, I hope he does'nt fall for it. In fact, he shut her up yesterday but I don't know if or when he will fall prey to the lies these two are spewing against Tara.
So both RP and Nandu feel they have been wronged by their respective parents and their siblings have benefitted from it.
