on one hand she made her baba cut the cake and on the other hand she cut mj by destroying his dark room - damn she cut him deep!!!!!!!!!!
thats what hurt does to a person!
the surprise to her baba was sweet and thoughtfulđ
the way she arranged the surprise gives me hope that tara has not really totally lost all her innate goodness! it shows that she still cares despite all that she went through in the house. yes she was sweet to everyone in yesterdays episode too, but as we all know saying and doing are two different things. it shows that she is clear on one thing. this fight is between mj and her alone and not anyone else. i think that was mjs face conveyed. there was a subtle relief in his face, i think mj too was a bit afraid that tara will use baba against him but to see her genuine fondness eased him somewhat. he possibly thought he could bear whatever she throws at him if she doesnt hurt anyone else coz of him. poor dear how wrong you were!!đ
that scene where its revealed yug is not really lameđ˛, why am i not surprised!?
the guy is slowly proving to be a deep part of the mystery that revolves around shekhawat house and iam kind of finding him creepy at this moment
the antakshari scene was okay enough, the songs were muted, but i think thats coz they wanted to jump to the next scene quickly. here again kudos to tayaji/rp/kala. he portrayed the hesitancy of having to dance and sing so subtly đđđ- all the while staying in rp avatar and trying to hold restraint of kalavatis mannerisms. and finally i thanked god when he got that mysterious phone call from his blackmailer- so far he has been attacking tara left ,right and center believing her to be culprit, but now a seed of doubt in his mind- about time guys!!!!!! thank you!
now i hope story takes a turn like this where he is convinced that tara doesnt recognise him and is also not the one troubling him, hence he better use her against mj!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he might confront tara about mjs behaviour and tara may be confessing! and tayaji might use tara , unknown to her, to harm mj and here is where tara in the last minute might have a moment where she will find out tayajis secret and also that he is the culprit behind everything. not looking possible at this stage but i can dream,right!!!!!!!!!!!
and finally coming to tara and mj scenes-
today there was a deliberateness in taras manner when it concerned mj . she made sure everyone looked at them as not two separate people but one. she sat close to him, she made sure they came and went together anywhere in house in front of everyone, her looking at him with affection, which only mj could know as an act. gone was the awkwardness between them, for someone who is looking at them and that was taras first slight against mj. till today both of them never looked comfortable together to rest of family but today they did as if they were having a blooming relationship, something mj doesnt want- poor guy looked uncomfortable and kudos to viraf for bringing out that discomfort, which could have not been easy considering off screen both look so comfortable, its difficult to enact such discomfort. if we remember, similar circumstances have been seen before- mj and taras towel scene where while he was hurting her, an blissfully ignorant meethi thought them to be getting closer and the second one in the kitchen where mj threatened to burn her while nandu thought them to be romancing. tara was paying it back and in kind.
strike two was the cake scene- tara pretending to mix something in cake, right infront of mj, knowing well enough that he is looking and showing that she knows that he is looking, making him believe that its been tampered with and then saying sweetly-"iss baar bachgaye tum". it was deliberate and it was a play against his psyche. but the highlight of this scene was mj, as he grabbed her hand and gobbled up the cake piece in one, damn the consequences. i tell you the guy has death wish written all over his face. he is resigned that he has to face taras hate and his eating the cake portrayed that and also i dont know if others feel the same, but i think mj never for a second did believe tara could cause him bodily harm. he knows her gentleness, knows she would not kill him outright coz of her own goodness and also coz he knew in her eyes it would be a small price.
and finally strike three- the scene thats gonna haunt me today, mj s dark room smashed ,crashed, destroyed so totally. i will admit to a moment of shock here. and then i i clapped for the creative team in my mindđ. the whole day i have wondered how tara will hurt mj and this was ,call me cruel if you wish, but this was perfect payback!
the total devastation in the room was so symbolic to me. mj has devastated tara with his double play and in a way tara replicated that in his dark room.
i hope this guarantees a scene in future where tara will rearrange his darkroom for him as apology when she realises his goodness.
and the look on mjs face when he saw itđ
his usual reaction would have been to rage at her- if we remember, even her presence in the room was not tolerated by him earlier and he had punished her in words and deeds for that. today tara threw him an open challenge, a gauntlet if you will, telling him she has destroyed something dear to him and if he has any courage at all, face her and punish her like before and this time she is ready. and mj poor thing , this time around , i dont think he will be able to hurt her as before coz in his heart he knows he deserved it. mj is being cornered by tara and theres not a thing he can do about it just like tara wasnt able to do when he was cornering her. mj is still too guilty to say anything to tara at this point, but may be in future, one can hope, right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
finally a last word- i think some people might be upset by the thing tara had done to mjs room and believe me i understand. but i think this time around tara is justified.
if we look at it from taras pov, she sees a house thats a figurative glass house, cold and lonely.yes, she got in to it on her own, whatever the deal she might have struck with baba. but the place and the person she was tied to has each time took more and more out of her with giving nothing in return. she is in a house where half the people dont like her, the other half though they love are blind to her loneliness and everytime push her towards the one person who finds a new way to injure her spirit everyday. she is surrounded by a storm full of double intentions, secrets and darkness and mj is at the center of it- the eye of the storm, figuratively. if tara is extreme in her revenge today. its solely coz she believes the man infront of her deserves it. here he was ,married to her, sworn to protect her all her life and he failed to do so in her opinion utterly and completely. good or bad intentions be darned, but mjs play was cruel. tara was asked to give him atleast "ek boond ishq" and the only thing she perhaps expected was " ek boond izzat" which she didnt receive in the house, not from mj, the person who is supposed to.
if a man is plotting revenge against another man/ or in a fight- the route they chose is usually physical
if a man tries to hurt a woman it usually is a double edge sword of hurting the psyche and if it is not enough,physical or vice versa
but when a woman is planning retribution against a man it is most primarily psychological, coz its only rarely possible to hurt a man physically all by herself without help.
hence thats the way tara goes.
some people might say mjs intentions were good but remember tara did not know that, if she did, the situation would not arise at all
and not to forget if mj wanted tara to stay away he could have let her know that in a much more easier manner than the one he used since beginning. after all tara knows he is a criminal . atleast when he came to know of her as his friend from stable, he should have not used such harsh methods to break her- like pushing her off a cliff and demeaning her character later on.
i think more than mjs acts it was his supposed callousness that has hurt her. if mj and her dost were differnt people, she could think that her husband doesnt know her , and doesnt care enough to so it possibly doesnt hurt that much to be demeaned by him.
but when she saw her dost and husband were one and same, she was shocked to core. her dost knows her- who she is, how she is as a person and that she has no malice or bad intentions in her mind . he knows her character. he knows she doesnt care for money, that she is not greedy for if she was she wouldnt be befriending a mere stable man. he knows and yet he chose to say those words to her, and that cuts deep. its the worst kind of betrayal and it hurts.
and in that pain, all is justified to taras mind. she too knows in her heart that her friend is not really a monster that he is portraying to be and yet she chooses to ignore it just as he did.
to her mind and heart, he has cut her and hence she is cutting him and as i said madam ne ek hi din mein phd karli iss baat mein!!!
