Meri Ghar Ki Laxmi...
Another emotional episode...
The episode continues on its magical ride from yesterday. Tara calls out to her friend, "Friend, where are you hiding on the night of DIwali." She enters his home, and prepares for the pooja. Mrityunjay is dumbfounded and holds his head in shock, whilst Tara places the idol of Laxmi on the table, and the garland around it. Still holding his head knocks off a jar. She calls out again, "Who is there, who is it? Stranger friend is that you? He is ashamed of himself and nervous to be in her presence... She notices him, "What are you doing in the dark? Come here...oh ho...Abb Life ke ujjale mein Diwali ki raat nahi aaye toh kya kiya? Scolds him like a mother, "Come on come here." He gulps...and recollects his stark wedding and the girl who sat at the mandap for him...he slowly steps forward...his eyes not leaving her even for a second...is she for real! ...he takes in every move of her...the way she holds her hand whilst doing the aarti..her smile, her ghunghaat, ...then recollects every abuse he inflicted on her..."What a cruel joke is this! What game is fate wanting to play with me? Made this girl my wife? She finds him brooding...She snaps him out of his reverie saying, "Which deep thoughts are you drowned in? And see I have banished darkness away from your home. Now every year make sure you maintain light, don't ever let darkness enter here." Guilt-ridden he turns away, she turns him back saying, " Turn back, why have you turned away from me?" He has remorse written all over his face..."What are you doing. Come on lets perform the pooja." Still stunned he is unable to move, she places flowers in his hand asking him to offer it, and then together holding the thaal they do the aarti as true husband and wife. His focus is only on her...how can you be so amazing My Laxmi!
She joins his hands in prayer and then prays to Goddess Laxmi, "Oh Mother bestow upon my friend all the happiness in this world that he was deprived of . And yes, may he live for a 100 years."Mrityunjay is dumb struck...such goodness, such innocence...and then she giggles...whilst his heart weeps..." Wait take the aarti." He simply stands there and stares...his heart overwhelmed with love along with regret, pain, remorse, ...she nudges him ...yet he does not do so..."You don't know how to pray". She then blesses him, he turns away knowing he does not deserve this. After the Pooja is done like a little child Tara says, "Life mein Diwali ke din patake nahi jalaye toh kya kiya?"
He could not handle it anymore...her caring for him so deeply...her deep sense of making him feel loved and wanted in this lonely abode..."Why are you doing all this?" and walks away... She goes after him, "wait listen take the sparkler."He can't hold back the tears...she pushes him to do so...and together they celebrate the little joys of Diwali...She then explains to him, "I have considered you my friend, how can I see you in darkness? And surely God must have thought of something for us, hence in order to save my life he sent you, and sent me to bring light into your life. This is probably Fate."
Then realizing she had to leave, "Listen it is getting late I have to go, okay." And then shrieks close to his ears, "Happy DIwali."
She walks away...and then turns around and blinks at him with her smiling eyes...pure joy...his angel had come and was gone for now...
What they shared this Diwali night would always be a night to remember for Both...
Here all at home are waiting. Poojary says it's time to start the pooja. Tara is not to be seen around. NImmo miffed, just then Tara appears. Meethi keeps asking where she had been.
A torn and miserable Mrityunjay consumed with remorse, "What have I done. I have been terrible to her. Misunderstood her." In a wail of tears, "Despite that she has illuminated my home and that too this night of all ...What kind of person am I? I responded her goodness with hatred." Hating himself for everything...he cries out, "I was wrong about her. If she has married a person like me, then there must be some stipulation, maybe like me she is distressed with some hardships in life. ... What have I done?...what should I do now ? What do I do with that girl?...Cries out in agony...
Yes he had to see her...so goes to the Mansion in the middle of the night.
He enters their bedroom to see a peacefully sleeping Tara. Her dupatta shielding her face, He stands and stares at her angelic innocence...he drinks in her beauty...a man truly in love...his eyes fall on the mole..her sweet lips...he kneels down at her bedside, she turns towards his side..he smiles he removes the lock of hair from her face and then she turns, his palm falling onto hers, she clings on to his arm for comfort. She turns again and he disengages his arm slowly...and then rises...he notices her feeling the chills, so pulls the blanket over her...and looks on at the child-like girl...His Wife
The Man is deeply, madly and hopelessly in love with her. I did say yesterday he fell in love the moment he looked into those mysterious eyes... Such a beautiful and dreamy scene...
He then moves back, shakes his head ruefully...no...he could not..he had no right to...and walks out of there...he had to go away...
Mrityunjay now fighting his inner conflicts. The Prisoner vs the Savior. The struggle within himself is because now he is at a stage where that desire of wanting her to be his has risen in him.
Oh but I want to love her! But how can I be selfish, I have no right to destroy her life for a few days of happiness for myself...no I will not do it...with death looming over me...I cannot make her mine...Damn it ...why oh why ...if I truly love her...I would have to shield her from myself her Savior and Friend. "
What I loved most in this scene was that Mrityunjay the friend had a part of Tara with him (the bandana). She was present there all along.
This was significant that even if Mrityunjay did not want to, she would be a part of his life and death. He wasn't yet ready to give her up completely...why is he still holding onto to that bandana...cause he just cannot let go of her...and he never will...
Nandini brings besan laddoos from home and takes back gold laddoos oops bangles, stealing them from Tara to pay off her loan sharks. This girl is pure trouble. That makes Aditya and Nandini the perfect match. đ˛
Tara no longer can stay away from the stable for too long. Her heart belongs to this place completely...She brings her mom's sweets for him. He sees her coming...his face lights up...a kind of joy...but then stops himself...no he had to stay away. He hides...she comes looking for him, stays on...for a while and then leaves...he sees her through a gap in the wall, watches her talk to his mare talking about her Friend and then complaining that she had to go back to her Prison and the Savage. He looks on...
Once she leaves, he comes out of his hiding and goes on to read her message for him, "I came here to give you the sacrament of the Goddess. Hope that this diwali brings a new light in your life (You Tara).Next Diwali may there be brighter lights in your heart and in your home."
He smiles lovingly, looks at the box of sweets and then his impending death screams out to him as a stark reminder...You are going to Die!!
Precap:Tara talks to Meethi about her friend, " Whatever the reason is I just pray to God, that all his problems go away. And his faded smile returns again. MJ is listening into this convo. His hand hits a vase and he darts off from there. Tara opens the window and sees MJ's retreading back. She is surprised.hugs
