Scene begins with Krishna declaring that in every Yug his leela gives birth to an epic which becomes a guiding force for the coming generations. The Pandavas are also a part of this great epic to be chartered out in the Dwapar Yug and his own grace and their own Purusharth will protect them from every calamity.

JV asks "Swami- DRT is going to appoint the Yuvraj in the royal court today. IS there no one in the whole court to raise a voice?"

Krishna's answer is to swiitch on the TV screen. The royal palace of Hastinapur is shown. Vidura gets up and announces that Guru Dronachrarya will be shortly arriving there with the Kuru princes. Would DRT please announce the heir apparent without any further ado?

Shakuni. eager to get in a word, gets up and says that it is indeed a great resposibility to decide to whom should the thone of Hastinapur eventualyy go. There is no difference b/w Yudhisthir and Duryodhan in terms of capability. Yet thereis a stark difference. While one is the son of the current king the other is the son of a former/ deceased king.that in itself should decide the matter.

Bhishma gets up and by way of showing shakuni his place, reminds him that he is merely their guest and guests should not interfere in their hosts' matters. Bhsihma goes on to say that while both Yudi and Duryo (oh why do they have such long names?Obviously their parents never filled out lables on their school text books 😆) both were equally dear to him, he would consider Yudhi to be fit to be the Crown Prince.

Shakuni bitingly asks why was it that Bhsihma always had the sole right to decide on all matters pertaining to hastinapur? Bhishma was about to answer when DRT cuts him and pleads that he
needs time to arrive at a decision.

Bhishma closes his eyes and he has vision of Vishnu reminding him that he was duty bound to serve the throne of Hastinapur and by supporting Yudhi's candidature, he was doing the right thing. In his mind's eye he sees Visnu exhorting him to be storng and oppose Duryo's appointment.

Shakuni sarcastically enquires whether Bhishma was enjoying a quick cat nap. Bhishma stands up and advises DRT to hold a public opinion poll to ascertaint he wishes of the public

Bhishma walks out of the Durbar. DRT instructs Vidura to hold a poll and find out wo does the public want in form of their Yuvraj- Yudhi or Dury?

There is some womanly talk b/w Gandhari and Kunti regarding the crown princeship.

Next Day. The Royal Durbar.. Vidura comes forward and whispers something in DRT's ears. Drt announces that as per Bhishma's wishes a public opinion poll was conducted and the public had spoken . Thenext Yuvraaj would be the eldest son of Late king Pandu- Yudhisthir.

Bhishma faces teh heaven and folds his hands. Shakuni is disgusted. DRT is shown smiling. In the anthapur Kunti is elated while Gandhari walks away in huff.

(Once Again I am not able to find the video upload for the last part)

Thanks for the update. In the last part, arrival of Kauravas & Panadava along with Guru Dronacharya is announced in the Darbar. Both the sides 5 members each with Guru Drona in the centre enters the darbar, Drona takes the seat & asks the eldest son to take DRT's blessings first. Both Yudhisthira & Duryodhan move ahead.

Here Krishna tells SB & JV, whateve is there in Bhagya will happen.
Liked the part where Bhishma seeks guidence from Vishnuji. If he had such direct contact with God, then why did he keep quiet at the time of Draupadi's vastraharan,

Not only Draupadi's vastraharan, if such divine power he has why he was silent in Lakshagraha, if he could meditate upon vishnuji then he has more power both spiritual, physical, political and mental then vidur. why did he allowed ghandhar naresh to remain in his kingdom so long well aware he is looking to avenge his sister, why he was silent when pandavas was targeted even in guruasharam. This may be the reason he haven't had ultimate power and even if he is most eldest in kuru he has to obey the king. Does this proves in dwapara yug also king has the power that even if he becomes tyrant the one has to accept this even he is capable to turn the kingdom in his will but his teachings comes in his way. The teaching was to obey the king even if he is wrong. But we must also consider his vow to obey by the side of king. Here also there is delima, bhisma took the vow to obey his king and serve his mother land till his last breadth. The question is when the king will comes against the motherland then what he should have done because his vow itself is contradictory he fought it many times but each times he has to surrender before the king

Rest of what happened - next day, a guard tells Dhritarashtra that Dronacharya has arrived w/ the Kuru princes, and requests permission to admit them in. Drona comes in, followed by 5 Pandavas on one side and 5 Kauravas on another 😆 Dhritarashtra praises him as the most worthy guru, and invites him to be seated. Drona then invites the princes to step up and greet the king. Both Yudhisthir & Duryodhan step up, the look @ each other & stop. Duryodhan scowls @ Yudhisthir, and Bhima gets outraged but Arjun restrains him. Then Yudhisthir & Duryodhan both look up @ the king.

Yudi & Duryo? & DRT? Maybe we should make you use names like Parthasarathy or Janardhana while referring to Krishna 🤣 (I think of Yudi as that IPL cricket commentator - yup, his full name is Yudhisthir - the first time I've seen anybody named after him. I've seen plenty of Bheems, Arjuns, Nakuls and Karans/Karnas, but never any Yudhisthirs or Sahadevs.)

Anyway, back to this - liked the episode. Although about the exchanges b/w Bheeshma & Shakuni, I dare say that had the real Bheeshma actually done that, the Pandavas may never have been wronged. What happened - the earlier Bheeshma had no problems putting his foot down on Shakuni, but later, avoided it out of deference to Dhritarashtra?

One thing I've always hated in Mahabharatas - Kunti-Gandhari dialogs, and this one was just a tad better. Gandhari asks Kunti who she wants to see as Yuvraj, and Kunti remarks that both are her sons, so it doesn't make any difference to her, but when the results are announced, Gandhari is pissed off and leaves, leaving Kunti puzzled 😆

The other thing that got me & made me laugh - they showed the 5 Pandavas come in single file, and opposite them were exactly 5 Kauravas. Couldn't they have dressed up, say 10 people like Duryodhan & Dushashan and put them front, and have a random crowd behind them to signify the numbers? This was the strangest scene so far. And Bhima looks every bit the perpetually angry man that Praveen Kumar personified in BRC - I was hoping for someone w/ a sense of humor, but threatening looking. Someone like Hemant Chadda, who plays Balarama, would have suited Bhima better.

I'm guessing that the tournament in which all the Kurus demonstrated their skills, and in which Karna first surfaced b4 the Kurus will be shown sometime this week next, since that's the other major story that Krishna has yet to reveal to JS.

Speaking of which, this narration style of Krishna to JS has grown on me - I somewhat prefer this to others. Only that it can't go on for too long, b'cos after Draupadi's swayamvara,

P.S. Can anybody compile a list of the actors that played the following, and post it in the Help Desk thread, or in the one that says the actor who plays Bheeshma is... Here are the ones I want:

Yudhisthir - Sachin Verma
Bhima -
Arjun - Gautam Sharma (?)
Nakul -
Sahadev -
Kunti -
Karna -
Bheeshma - Mamik Singh (?)
Vidura -
Drona -
Shakuni - Gufi Paintal
Dhritarashtra -
Gandhari - Pragati Mehra(?)
Duryodhan - Amit Pachori

The ones in (?) are those who have been mentioned in one thread or another, but I'm still unsure about it, so would like confirmation. Sachin Verma, Gufi Paintal and Amit Pachori are the only ones I'm sure about so far. So if someone could fill up their identities, that would really be appreciated.

At times he had voiced his diagreement, but that was taken only as his suggestion or advice, which was just heard but not implemented. By taking that vow, he himself had restricted his authority & power, as a result he had to witness many unpleasant events & consequences.
