I love this serial...its amazing...the way they are depicting Krishna as a human..because he was human n he was emotional bound by peoples love..i love it...n also i think Balram raising his voice infront of Krishna is fine elder brothers do that..lakshman couldnt do that because he was younger than Ram..this serial is one of the best.

But DBSK is made by the same people as JSK! As for Sagar Arts, remember the Swarna-Kamal adventures, as well as the adventure of K-L & Hanuman after they're done singing the entire Ramayan to Rama? I think that the way they've split it, Sagar Arts seems to handle all Satya Yuga & Treta Yuga stories, and Sagar Pictures Dwapar Yuga stories.

I agree w/ you on some of the actors. Vishal seems to be batting alone - no real support from the rest of the cast, except Gauri and to an extent, Hemant.

Yeah...I just meant that as they keep making more and more new mythos, the Sagars are taking more and more liberties. The Vasudev and Devaki characters were highly controversial in JSK too (especially Vasudev), so I guess Lola is right that Sagar Pictures has something against them.😳 Nand and Yashoda were fine (though even Yashoda was shown a bit selfish towards the end), but Devaki and Vasudev were highly out of character.

I'm not saying Sagar Arts is without its own share of crackpot scenes, but at least the characters of the leads and other characters in ASR were constant for most of the show. Though discrepancies did occur at various points of Ramayan, most of it did seem like a mytho and AS mostly messed up towards the end, so it did not affect TRPs and viewers' interests too much. The Uttar Kand without Luv Kush was mostly the same as RSR's Uttar Kand (in terms of storyline) except for a more emotional Ram and a more headstrong Sita.

They made Rukmini to Krishna what Mandodari was to Ravan. 😡 When Uttara was threatened by Ashwatthama's Brahmashira, the Pandavas had a lot more to be worried about, but they had full faith in Krishna, and didn't worry about her. Here, Revathy has no concerns b'cos she has full faith in Balarama & Krishna, but Rukmini doesn't seem to. 🤔 I know that Rukmini was nowhere compared to Sita, but still, this sort of lack of faith in her hubby when her hubby is Krishna was just inexplicable.

Last night, they introduced Satrajit - the lead actor in the Syamantaka gem chapter. In the original story, Krishna wasn't interested in the gem, but in last night's episode, they had him ask Satrajit for the gem, and Satrajit refuse and finally run away. Later, Balarama upbraided Krishna for exhibiting greed after something that's been granted to someone else by Surya-dev, and Krishna questioned whether Satyaki deserves it. I too found Krishna's conduct pretty distasteful, given that in the original story, even after Satadhandva was killed and Krishna met Akrura, who had the jewel, he allowed Akrura to keep it.

The other thing I didn't like is that so far, the actual theif who incriminated Raman seemed to be forgotten, so no justice really for Ramaiya.

I'll comment more on the episode once the update is up.

I agree that Rukmini has been villified in this serial and definitely seems comparable to Mandodari.😕 But I wouldn't say she's nowhere compared to Sita😳...both were the same Lakshmi Avatar, but whereas Sita was given various tests throughout her life and suffered more, Rukmini did not undergo any events that required self sacrifice or tested her faith in Krishna. Had she had a life similar to Sita's, I would say she too would have been very selfless and sacrificial. Which is why I would expect the character of Rukmini to mirror Sita's, since the Bhagawat also mentions that she was the most faithful, humble, and devout wife of Krishna...to show her as untrusting, anxious, and dubious about Krishna's ability to protect Dwaraka is just wrong. Rukmini's character in this show was never that divine from her first episode itself, but that was not too bad since we hoped her character would improve once she married Krishna and was able to portray her love and devotion to him, but it seems to have gotten worse.

However, Rukmini's character still has a lot of hope since it was not butchered like Devaki's. I hope we will get to see the sefless and devout personality of Rukmini come to light once Satyabhama enters the picture and begins making unfair demands on Krishna's attention. One of the most famous stories of Rukmini Ma's greatness is the way she won back Krishna from Narad Muni during Satyabhama Garva Bhangam. I really really hope Sagar Pictures shows that story accurately so that TRPs and viewers' interest increases.

I also hope Krishna's other wives receive more prominence in this show. I know not much is known about them, but whenever someone shows Krishna's latter life, most importance is given to Rukmini and Satyabhama, and occasionally Jambavathi, but nothing is ever shown about the other five, who were still his Queens and believed to be parts of Goddess Lakshmi.

yaaah guys this was d frst new mytho serial I was interested in...or else u know me...m happy with my old mythos...so instead of hurting my sentiments by such wrong portrayal of such respected mytho characters I prefer old serials...m sorry in advance if I'm hurting any1..bt coz here u've opened a discussion thread so I feel every1 is free to express what he/she feels..right..??/ So plzz the fans dont take my words wrongly I dont mean to hurt any1...m just expressiong my opinion!! m keeping my views only after seeing that every1 is expressing their veiws freely!!so no grudges

I'm a kind of person who always likes authentuc material...to that point DBSK is highly disatisfuing...I liked DBSK initially coz of the leading cast...esp Vishal is good as Krishna..bt I'm not liking the way Sagars are presenting SHRI KRISHNA who is the YOGESHWAR, the KARMYOGi to be such an emotional person!😭 Krishna did cry bt not for all such reasons...bt only when he remembered his gwal baals, maiya baba Brijbhoomis n all his good old days, Krishna is such a balanced and sound character frm whom ages can learn loads of lessons!

I discussed some points in PM wth Shivang bhaiya n Debi di abt the authenticity of the show...coz I was upset of d same... 😭 I did not like how Devki ma reacts...the essense of mom is lost, moms cant be dat selfish n esp when we're talking of such respected, maryaadit bhartiya moms...!! yeah the story is true that Devki ma asks forher 6 babies...bt the way it is portrayed in DBSK esp the chracterisation of Devki maiya is sooo poor...Devki ma wasnt like dat...we know her dont we...😭 I was also unhappy wth the Raman-Ramaiya episode...I dont know if it really happened bt I do know that Krishna never did Adharma or anyaya...wth any1..he's the god of innocents, he loves the one who's innocent then howcome he his silent...raises a lil voice n then again silent n let Daau bhaiya punish the one who's not a criminal, also read an article where it was written that in Dwraika ppl didnt use to loack their doors...coz there was no fear of theft in Dwarika bcoz of the sound defence system of the town ...den dunno how dis story emerged😕

Ya its correct that Daauji was Shri Krishna's elder brother so he can sclod him , bt we must not forget that Daauji himself was GOD, being an incarnation of Sheshnaag, so he was also very devoted to Lord Krishna which DBSK lacks😭Like others I also have some hope left for Rukiminiji's charachter😳 like Janu di, I also hope to see a better characterisation of such a gr8 lady Devi Rukmini, when Satyabhama enters...n I want dem to show the fourth patraani Yamune Maharaani Kalindi devi..her greatness, why he's Lord's sooo much favourite that he gave the honour of wearing Krishna's own attire unlike other patraanis & who's still blessing us in India.. which is never shown anywhere😭I also wished if Sagars hadnt touched the respected chracters as I said before, coz in the veil of giving social messges, they're hurting the sentiments of loads of ppl..which is not correct..they should present the correct character of the parents, family, praja jans and off course Dwarikadheesh I also dont like over streching of stories like ASR, did with L-k epis😡 when it is RAMAYAN the stories related to Shri RAM must be highlighted, coz we're not sitting to watch SAGAR PURANS n all😆 we're there to have the nectar of Lord's stories..may not Sagar's overstretch the stories this time also..😭 We want the same n non-hurting mythos which RSji used to present😭 he always kept the stories to the point if it is RAMAYAN he was there wth all Rama stuff n thats all..if its SK he was there wth all Krishna stuff n thts all coz the material abt the 2 lords is so rich in itself that there's no need to mingle loads of stories together n move apart frm the main story🤢 If social mssgs are to be given then why mythos are also used to give such mssg by unnecessarily merging un authentic stories...this can also be done wth the help of correct facts...m not at all against moderations...like Rsji explains...vastraharan scene, which he moderated superbly...without hurting any emotions👏 n not showing the Sati pratha of Sulochana for current social situation👏 bt presenting false stories n chanting the mantra of social mssg, is such a wrong fashion that SAGARS should abandon if they wanna keep the esteem of their banner🤢

Krishna every time looked helpless...

Let me put it this way. When a saint/God is being made, it is only the posterity that looks at the personality as a God/saint. In their Age *in this context Krishan's time), there are mixed reactions. For example Shirdi Sai baba. He did not have many followers when he was alive but now the vastness of the temple in shirdi is itself a tell tale.

Or, evenpresent day examples like the art of living Guru. Ppl. who follow him consider him God but some others could look at him with a lot suspicion. Dwarakadeesh makers are bringing out this aspect of Dwaraka yuga very sincerely. This is unique becoz this is the first ever time this has been attempted. Risk-taking should be appreciated. Attemting run in the mill stuff is extremely easy like what other shows especially in the 8 pm slot are doing.

Yes, the actors performance can improve. Since the set is erected is erected in some remote part of Baroda, may be be due to difficulty in accessibility they are not able to get good actors. Shishupal, and the new entry Satrajit is not even remotely appealing at all. 😡Satrajit is the future father-in-law of Krishna. They surely should have got a better actor for this role.

Now, to the million dollar question: In just 1-2 weeks the character Satyabhama would step in. Just hope (though I know that 99% my hope will be squashed😭), I hust HOPE that they get someone commanding/experienced and yet subtle for the role of Satyabhama.

Satybhama is a much more multi-faceted and intriguing character than Rukmini. Hence any actress who has played a strong author backed role should be the best choice. This is because, in comparison to Rukmini (who is still tame as a character), Satyabhama is more human😊 It is told that Satybhama is bhuma devi and thus is multi faceted: warrior; loves her husband; challenges him and openly expresses that she needs his attention etc.

By the way, in the promo the girl who was shown with Krishna was Rukmini or Satybhama. As, the girl in the promo was surely not Priya. So, is the same girl going to play Satybhama. Any guesses?

Just as there were major differences in the character profiles of Rama & Krishna, it has to be conceded that there were similarly major differences b/w Sita & Rukmini. Just b'cos Rukmini was Lakshmi's incarnation doesn't imply that her character was the same as Sita's. Granted, circumstances made them different, but that's the point - they were different. What might have happened had Rukmini been the queen of Ayodhya or Sita been the one of the royal women of Dwarka is something that can only be speculated.

Which promo are you talking about? The latest promo that they have running for tonight's show is Satrajit accusing Krishna of stealing his jewel & killing his brother Prasenjit. No Satyabhama was shown, and I doubt they'll show her until Krishna is vindicated, and Satrajit decides to offer her to Krishna.

I know Rukmini and Sita were not exactly the same, but out of all of Krishna's wives, Rukmini is most similar to her in terms of personality, since the others all had their moment of pride sometime during their lifetime while Rukmini did not. More than Krishna and Ram, I'd say Rukmini and Sita had more similarities.

And...I did not mention any promo.😳

Before the serial started, the promos that were on did not have priya in them they had Vishal along with some other person. Was this actress playing satybhama or was she used in lieu of Rukmini just for the promo?
