No Pari, I've seen the whole show 😳 Remember, I was the one who did the written updates whenever Sita didn't. I don't want to compare actors here; I think the majority of the casting choices that the PH made for both shows are very very good 👏 Unfortunately the screenplay does not always match up to their talent, and moreover it often misrepresents characters, diluting or even omitting those characteristics which make them venerable.

The first 2 weeks of this serial, the interactions b/w Krishna & Balarama were woeful. If the scripted Balarama was made to look bad by constantly yelling @ Krishna (which to an extent wasn't out of character, since Balarama, like Lakshman, had a furious temper), the scripted Krishna's constantly mocking him was irritating as well. In reality, Balarama & Krishna were almost always on the same page, except on the subject of Duryodhan. Worse than Balarama's past behavior, I hated Krishna putting down a gada that Balarama tossed @ him to go and fight, and telling him that he didn't need to fight when he has someone like Dau protecting him. 🤢 But even worse in those episodes was removing the context of the story - Krishna & Balarama fled in order to be a decoy for Jarasandha while the rest of the Yadava population made it safely to Dwarka. So I was pissed off @ their showing Krishna as a coward, and that too for reasons that only anti-war activists both in the West and India can admire.

Fully agree w/ you here, as well as in your update comments. Devaki was somewhat happier when she got back Krishna after the killing of Kansa and then his return from his Gurukul. But last night, after the happiness, when Krishna told him that he had just delayed the inevitable and that she'd have to let them go again, she again gave him an ugly look. And I agree w/ Parina that her knocking the glass of water off Krishna's hand was downright rude & disrespectful, particularly given that she had just earlier recognized him as a god and wanted to touch his feet (that's another thing too tough to swallow - as Krishna, he always bowed or touched the feet of his elders, be it Vasudev, Devaki, Kunti and so on).
Just hope they get over w/ this episode, and get to the Syamantaka mani chapter next

I am feeling really sad to say that I agree with all here. i was so happy whenthis show started as it looked that maybe it would be really beautiful way of looking at Sri Krishnas life, but it has been so much disappointing. So much care needs to be taken with mythos - we look to them for inspiration and learning and then too they are not made up stories where creatives can just decide on whim what should happen next with some made up characters!

But please say - is Star Plus soon starting Mahabharat? Does anyone know when? Thanks!😊

I'm back to agreeing w/ you on Balarama. After rehabilitating his image the last few episodes, today they were back to vilifying him again, when they made him declare somebody guilty of theft, w/o hearing all the evidence.
If they're trying to show these stories as some soft of moral about the mistakes rulers made, then Balarama is the worst example they can use, as he was a part of the 8th avatar (or 9th, if one includes Mohini & excludes Buddha). They could have done it better by depicting Ugrasena as making fallable decisions, and Krishna or Balarama correcting him whenever that happened. Even that would have been inaccurate, since Krishna was the de-facto executive head of Dwarka, and nothing happened w/o his approval, even though Ugrasena was the king. But it would at least have been somewhat acceptable, unlike this, where Balarama is shown making very mediocre decisions. 😡
Now, Vasudev & Devaki have returned to Mathura!!! What on earth are the guys in Sagar Pictures smoking? Must be some great stuff!!!

uufff they what they hv shown yesterday 😡 Krishna was so helpless and lost (sorry to use this word for Krishna but this krishna is from sagars puran 😆 ) Seems like Balram is the king and Krishna is his assistant 😡 (sorry again for using this word)

how they can show that Krishna doesnt know who is the theif though He is in manav roop still nothing is hidden from Him.

LOL yes i was surprised to hear MATHURA! when the ppl of mathura are now in Dwarka , what Devki ji and Vassudev ji are doing in Mathura ❓

it was same like when Krishna (of Sagar Puran) said im the 7th son of Devki 😲😆

Already the TRPs of this show are pretty low...if the CVs of DSK continue to ruin divine characters like this, this show may even be taken off air before it gets to the main story.
No other new mytho has done this...ASR never butchered parental characters like Dashrath or the Rajmatas, and neither did JSK butcher their parent characters to this extent (except for Vasudev, who was shown pretty badly in some scenes). In JSK, Yashoda sometimes behaved selfishly when it came to Krishna, but at least it seemed as if she loved him...here they made Devaki very unloving and super selfish.😡 It seems that Sagar Pictures is taking too many liberties with this show...I wish Sagar Arts had handled this, since they seem to do better in terms of mythos.
I feel bad for the actors, because even though they're doing a good job, their work is being wasted.

its nice of them to try and show the krishna who is a son, husband, brother, father, friend and so on...but my only request to the makers is that they dont lose the essence of 'krishna'-the all-knowing and the ever-smiling lord😒...i cant bear it when krishna is shown brooding over almost everything..emotions are fine...but not when out of proportion...the whole charm of krishna is lost👎🏼...lord krishna was known for smiling even when there was a problem..the only time u probably see him angry is when he gets down from the chariot to kill bheeshma himself during the war.😳

Somebody else please do today's update - I'll do tonight's.
But continuing on the unacceptable aspect of the serial - the latest to be vilified is Satrajit & Rukmini. Last night, Rukmini was given a thali by Revathy, but while she was holding it, she tripped & fell. Even Revathy didn't consider it an apshakun, but Rukmini did. Later, when she was alone w/ Krishna and very concerned, Krishna asked her whether she'd be more @ ease if he were to assure her that there was nothing to worry about. Rukmini apologized but said no.
W*F? They made Rukmini to Krishna what Mandodari was to Ravan. 😡 When Uttara was threatened by Ashwatthama's Brahmashira, the Pandavas had a lot more to be worried about, but they had full faith in Krishna, and didn't worry about her. Here, Revathy has no concerns b'cos she has full faith in Balarama & Krishna, but Rukmini doesn't seem to. 🤔 I know that Rukmini was nowhere compared to Sita, but still, this sort of lack of faith in her hubby when her hubby is Krishna was just inexplicable.
Last night, they introduced Satrajit - the lead actor in the Syamantaka gem chapter. In the original story, Krishna wasn't interested in the gem, but in last night's episode, they had him ask Satrajit for the gem, and Satrajit refuse and finally run away. Later, Balarama upbraided Krishna for exhibiting greed after something that's been granted to someone else by Surya-dev, and Krishna questioned whether Satyaki deserves it. I too found Krishna's conduct pretty distasteful, given that in the original story, even after Satadhandva was killed and Krishna met Akrura, who had the jewel, he allowed Akrura to keep it.
The other thing I didn't like is that so far, the actual theif who incriminated Raman seemed to be forgotten, so no justice really for Ramaiya.
I'll comment more on the episode once the update is up.

But DBSK is made by the same people as JSK! As for Sagar Arts, remember the Swarna-Kamal adventures, as well as the adventure of K-L & Hanuman after they're done singing the entire Ramayan to Rama? I think that the way they've split it, Sagar Arts seems to handle all Satya Yuga & Treta Yuga stories, and Sagar Pictures Dwapar Yuga stories.
I agree w/ you on some of the actors. Vishal seems to be batting alone - no real support from the rest of the cast, except Gauri and to an extent, Hemant.
