Agree. It is fun in parts. The sumit is not that funny. He looks quite conscious of the camera most of the time. The ladies and the father are very good. But the jokes will become repetitive after a while and the trp aunties will want verbal action very soon.

And, I don't think male audiences will be very interested.

The painful part is changing the channel at 10.30 pm. But, we are all creatures of habit and I strongly believe that this too shall pass.

I tried watching it yesterday but couldn't get into it at all. The jokes were not funny and the acting was a bit over the top by all (except maybe the wife). I found the humour quite stale. I was a huge fan of Everybody loves Raymond and this just is nowhere close to the original classic. That being said, i can see a lot of older Aunties liking this type of show!

@Pippa: Thank you for your suggestion. I don't live in India and don't have the channel here but if I can find working links online I will try to watch it. Btw were you ever in the Ek Mutthi Aasman forum? I feel like I have you seen you there or maybe another forum?

@GoldenPanda: I am sure in rehab we will all still end up discussing MM instead of trying to get over it😆

And I tried watching the new Sumit show also and it could work but they miscasted on the male counterparts. All the male actors seem wrong for the roles. Esp for Raymond and his brother. They are suppose to be hilarious but they are not funny at all. Can't believe they worked on this show for 10 months plus workshops yet the male lead couldn't make me even smile once whereas Ray Ramano use to make me crack up like no other!

@siddu26:

Yes, I was in the EMA forum...that's one forum I won't forget in a hurry! How stressed out we all were about the on-screen and off -screen goings-on.😆

I've gotten over the craziness of those days. So, there's hope this too shall pass...only, it will take more time since this show has so many more pleasant memories.
