And if you see the list of top 10 serials year after year, it's dominated by such shows.

The sad thing about MM is that most people weren't even aware of the show airing. By the time people knew of it, it was too late. Plus, no one expected an archaic channel like Star would air such a show!

Moral of the story...never ever watch a youth-based show on Star. Wonder which show/s will be the next on their hit list. I can name two.

I can't blame them to be honest, most Hindi shows are 'saas bahu' shows. I stumbled upon DYM by accident on YouTube, otherwise I'd have no idea such a show existed. The production houses out there should not let this whole thing discourage them from coming up with fresh and more 'modern' concepts. They just need to choose the channels more wisely i.e. not StarPlus...

Youth of today is definitely not interested in the ever dragging saas bahu nonsense that they are showing all the time. They want something different, something hatke, something they can relate to, that is why they don't watch Indian shows. Cause majority of shows being aired are saas bahu crap with all those illogical twists and turns which don't make sense at all. And on top of that these shows drag for years with same plots being repeated with either same lead or different ppl...

And StarPlus never made a real effort in promoting this show the way it should have been done that is why not many ppl knew abt it.
Even I didn't know abt this show until I accidentally read something on twitter which made me curious. This is the reason why I missed to many ArDhika scenes from the start and I started watching only from Lonavla trip

That is literally Hindi shows in a nutshell to be honest. And I think with DYM they tried to break that pattern, but alas, it didn't work. And like you said, it was due to the lack of promotions and in my opinion bad time slot as well.

i hope star gets rid of that tagline that is false
i can't believe they are getting rid of a show that was this good and that connected with youth
i hope that cvs can make a season 2 on a different channel that will appreciate the efforts

can't wait to see these four actors back on screen

It's bittersweet indeed...This show has really made a special place in my heart...and I am going to enjoy its final episode to the fullest...
I never expected SP will give such a bad treatment to DYM...SP intentionally did this...They very well knew that this kind of youth show won't fetch them trp like the saas bahu sagas...cz their target audience will not be interested in watching such a show without any high voltage drama...
Well I am going take a leave from indian shows again...tired of dragfests...

If they were not interested, they should have told the PH clearly from the start to look for another Channel and maybe this show would still be running after today

so true...sigh!
