The episode begins with Arjun and Samaira. She emerges and Arjun is shocked. He looks back at Nandini who is sitting at a table, busy with something. Sam asks him if she will have to stand at the door all day. She has brought breakfast for him. A few steps inside, she stops abruptly and turns to Arjun with questioning eyes.
Meanwhile, Radhika serves paranthas to Saral and asks if she can leave. He says that in their family, women eat only after their husbands are done. He says he is being very liberal with her since he lets her eat along. He warns her against misusing this freedom and orders her to sit with him. Saral wants to take Radhika and her mother out to shopping and says they will leave together. Radhika's mother reluctantly agrees.
Arjun walks over to Sam to see that Nandini has hid herself. Sam is delighted to see the stuff spread on the table and asks if it is for her. Arjun agrees and says he has to follow the rituals. Sam heads to the kitchen to heat up the breakfast but he stops her and eats from her hands. He says he ate already and that it is their engagement today and she should do something special for him, to look beautiful for him. He thanks her for the food and offers to drop her at the salon on his way. Nandini breathes in relief.
Elsewhere, Saral, Radhika and her mother reach the market. Rad has brought them to the Studio in Lokhandwala market. She directs them to a sari shop where Saral urges his to-be-mother-in-law to buy the best sari for herself since he's very liberal. When she finally agrees and goes away, he comments that she is very eager to spend his money (even though she is trying to find a not-too-highly priced sari). Radhika asks him if she can buy one for her mother with her own money. Saral smiles sarcastically and tells her to do it. She says it isn't like that but she just wanted to buy something for everyone for when she would go to Rishikesh. He says she should buy something for him first of all. Then he goes on to choose a very costly suit for himself. He doesn't even try it on and says he can always throw it away if it isn't a good fit. Saral again comments that she is misusing her freedom. Rad pleads to him but he doesn't listen and says she could not even tolerate that he wanted to buy something for them and just had to brag. Everyone around looks at them. Rad requests him to lower his voice or her mother would know. he says she should know what her chotti has turned into and wants to run the household herself. Saral goes on and on that she has forgotten her values but stops abruptly when they see her mother who asks them what is happening. Radhika denies and rushes to the changing room.
Radhika drops to the floor and cries. Manmarzian female version plays in the background. She receives a call from Sam and tells her where she is. Sam asks her to hurry to the salon as soon as she is done. Arjun gets worried that Rad went to the Lokhandwala market and recalls her finding that photograph. He drops her off and hurries away.
Radhika sneaks away to the studio and seeing an opportunity sits at the computer to look for Arjun's and Nandini's pictures. Arjun arrives there. She finds them before he enters and goes further in to get her picures clicked. Arjun comes and deletes the photos from the computer. He hears a phone ring and goes inside. He asks Radhika what she is looking for. She answers what he is hiding, Nandini. She says he will have to come out with his lies. Arjun grabs her by the neck/hair and dares her to burn him, figuratively. She pushes him away. He says her light will not be enough to obliterate the darkness. He has always played with darkness; it is his nature to wipe out all light. She says light cannot be erased and asks him who is Nandind and why he is keeping her in the dark from everyone; why he hasn't old even Sam.
Precap: Arjun says to Radhika that he has told her how the story began; it is on her to decide how it ends.
