Hi, everyone! My name is Suha, and I've been a silent reader of india-forums for quite some time. I've watched a lot of soap operas, but Manmarziyan has made it's way to my top favourites in such a short amount of time! I don't know about you guys, but I absolutely love the drama. I always have, especially love story related dramas have always pulled me into watching it. Not just Hindi ones, I've also adored English drama shows such as "One Tree Hill" and "Grey's Anatomy." Hindi favourites include serials such as Dil Mill Gayye, Miley Jab Hum Tum, Sasural Genda Phool, Meri Bhabi, Ek Hasina Thi, Nisha Aur Uske Cousins (which I kinda stopped watching after they messed up the whole Niraj story and completely ruined Viraj's character) and now, Manmarziyan 😃
Well, enough introduction, now here's my take on DYM. :)
First of all - Monica, Kashmira, Shravan and Aham are four brilliant actors. Their dialogues, expressions, body languages; all have been great!
I know there's quite a few loopholes in the recent tracks, but I tend to overlook them because I enjoy the show more than I wonder about the loopholes. It could be different for other people, but I see it like that. 😊 And what's a show without a few things that don't make sense? 😆 Nothing is ever perfect 😛
Arjun is a complicated soul. He's not as bad as he seems to be, neither as much as he wants to be. He tries to hide his human side, but can't help but show it, at times. Only when he remembers the pain of watching Nandini be left, then go on to leave everything and run away is when he's full on focused on revenge. And of course, Radhika will be the ray of hope in his dark mind, she's already made her place in his heart, he just doesn't acknowledge it fully, yet. I like that and I don't know if it's just me but usually in villain-turns-hero stories like these, the hero cares for the heroine because he's in love with her. But here, he's in love with her because he cares for her. After Nandini, he has finally actually cared for someone, and that care will slowly turn to love, if it already hasn't. (I have a feeling I don't make sense, but in my mind it made sense, sorry if it doesn't 😆)
And Radhika is the perfect mixture of bubbly yet strong, and I just love that! Yesterday's episode, Aham's concerned expressions almost had me in tears! And Monica is an absolute sweetheart, her agonising screams were well delivered! And I also kinda ship ArDhika, sooo yeah :P
Now, turning to Sam and Neil. Sam is hurt, and I understand why. Regardless of the amount of time she's spent with Arjun, she had gotten close to him. And to find out that he was in Bonnie's arms, leaving everything else aside, is bound to hurt. Especially because she had let him in after closing all the doors after the incident with her brother. After that, she let Radhika in and Radhika fixed things, so there's that. Kashmira is probably my favourite actor out of all 4 leads, the episode where she cried after the argument with her Mum, I was just amazed at how convincing her acting is!
Neil reminds me of a friend of mine, a really good one, actually. I wouldn't believe that a guy and girl can be best friends even after one of them is so in love with the other, if I didn't know him. He's in the exact same position as Neil, except his best friend's heart hasn't been broken. They've been best friends since they were kids, and a few months ago he realised that he loves her and he always has, even after she's been in a relationship with someone else for quite some time. And he's always there for her, supports her, encourages her when she's nervous and makes her laugh when she's crying, just like Neil. And he also keeps his love hidden, but he's cried over her a few times. And Shravan fits the role of Neil pefectly, the way he looks at Sam with love when she's not looking, and instantly changes his expression and looks at her as a best friend when she looks at him, it's amazing. And I also ship NeSam :D
And Radhika and Sam's friendship is beautiful, they've gotten close in such a short amount of time, and I also have made a few best friends recently who have become close to me in just a few weeks, and I understand how they have, as well!
Sorry this was so long, I've been visiting this forum for quite some time, and I felt that I should leave my views, too. I'm very eagerly looking forward to making friends here! 😃
And I'm also looking forward to what happens next, DYM has a lot of different ways to go for all the characters, and I can't wait to see where the story goes. And I also connect to each of the leads somehow, which makes me love the show all the more!
