The nature wore a beautiful look with the heavy raining. The wind that flowed through the window bore the smell of wet soil and it spread throughout the room. The environment turned way too much mysterious because of the weather. A woman came near the window and looked outside with an unknown happiness visible on her face. Her long open hair was flowing along with the wind and the raindrops that fell on her face made her look like the most beautiful girl on earth. She closed her eyes and as if she imagined something very special, she blushed. In the very next moment, she opened her eyes with a jerk and then suddenly a shadow of sorrow covered her face. She closed the window glass and moved away.
The telephone of the living room was ringing and the woman went to pick it up.
Wo: Hello.(in a lifeless voice)
Ca: Kaisi hai meri bacchi.
Wo: Main thik hu. Aap sab kaise ho?
Ca: Tu humesha aise kyu baat karti hai Radhika? Bol na beta humaari galati kya hai? Maa baap toh humesha baccho ki khushiya hi chahte hai na beta?
Ra:(in a cold voice) Main thik hu maa.Main jaisi hu vaisi hi thik hu. Aur mujhe kisise bhi koi shikayat nehi hai. Aapse bhi nehi.
M: Saral toh accha larka hai beta...
Ra:(in rage) Ha bohot accha larka hai. Roz mujhe janwaaro ki tarha maarta hai, mujhe gulam ki tarha treat karta hai. Phir bhi bohot accha hai. Aur kiu nehi hoga? Aap logo ka pyara damaad itna paisewala jo hai (started crying due to anger and frustration)
M:Radhika meri bacchi please ro mat. Mujhe maaf karde beta. Main majhbur thi. Main kya karti? Meri koi bhi sunta hai?Ek aurat ko...
Ra: Maa mujhe iss waqt baat nehi karni hai. Main phone rakh rahi hu. Mere sar mein dard ho raha hai.
Saying this Radhika straightaway cut the call while on the other side her mother cried her heart out. Radhika dashed on the sofa,
Ra:(crying profusely) I am sorry maa. Main janti hu ke isme aapki koi galati nehi hai. Meri badkismati se ek aise khandaan mein janam hua jaha larkio ki marzi ka koi parva nehi karta. Aur main...(covered her face with her hands and cried her heart out).
In late night Radhika heard the calling bell and gave a deep sigh. Her face was totally pale; totally lifeless. She walked up to the door and opened it. As soon as she opened the door, Saral came inside; in a drunken state.
Sa:(in an unstable voice) How are you sweetheart? Were you missing me?
Radhika gave a disgusted expression and was about to move away when Saral forcefully pulled her towards himself and caged her within his arms.
Sa:(in a nasty voice) Kaha ja rahi ho janemaan? Ek kiss toh de do. (laughed out sadistically)
Ra:(somehow freed herself forcefully and glared at Saral) Mujhe tumhaari ghatiya bakwas nehi sunni.
She was about to turn and go away but again Saral grabbed her arm and this time slapped her. Radhika raised her head up and gave a look of extreme hatred.
Sa:(yelled) Aakhe neechi kar. Maine kaha aakhe neechi kar.
Radhika didn't lower her eyes and that made his anger to rise even higher. He again slapped her; this time with all his might and Radhika couldn't take it and fell down on the floor. Saral held her chin tightly and raised her face up and Radhika cried out in pain.
Sa:(in a sadistic voice) Ye mat bhul ki main tera pati hu. Mere khilaaf ek bhi awaaz uthai na toh main...khair abse acchi biwi ki tarha meri har baat manna thik hai darling(again laughed out sadistically)
Saral got up and left for his room while Radhika was still sitting on the floor in a devastated way. After
sometime she wiped away her tears and with great difficulty, got up and went to the guest room to sleep.
This was the usual day of her life; no actually she didn't call it to be life. She didn't have anything called life. All the dreams she had from her childhood; all those beautiful dreams which were very near to become true; they all were shattered all on a sudden when she got married to Saral. It's not that she was shocked at his behaviour after the marriage; as she has always seen the dark side of men and she was totally used to it. Even her own father didn't ever accept her as his child properly as she was
a girl. So Saral's attitude towards her never gave her a shock. But as for her family's sake, she had no choice and she had to bear all the tortures of Saral. Saral always treated her as a material and whenever they used to go to any of his business parties he always used to insult her in front of everyone. It had been nearly 6 months of their marriage and already Radhika had lost the hope of living.
Radhika lied down on the bed and kept staring at the ceiling thinking about her so called life. Every moment she prayed for her death to come so that she could get free from this cage of unending torture. Radhika didn't break staring with a blank expression on her face and after some time she slowly closed her eyes and unknowingly drifted to sleep.
A man was working out in the gym of his house. He had a tough look on his face and it was clear that it wasn't due to the workout session but it was his usual expression. After almost an hour he stopped and picked his towel up and headed towards the bath. After finishing his bath; he came near the mirror bare bodied. He had looks which would make any girl drool over him and his fit figure made him even more devilishly handsome. He came out to his bedroom and suddenly his cellphone rang and he picked it up.
M: Hello.
C: Arjun, how are you buddy.
Ar:(smiled) Hey Neil. I am fine buddy. Tu bol tu kaisa hai?
N: I am fine yaar. Just checking on you. Sir ne kaha that you are on a leave. So suddenly bohot bara shock laga. Chakkar kya hai boss? Sab kuch thik toh hai na? Aise toh chuttiya nehi leta hai tu?
Ar: Nehi dude. It's nothing like that. Woh actually I just finished a mission; so sir himself ordered me to go undercover for some days. That's why.
N:(chuckled) Oh toh ye baat hai!Huh main kaha sapne dekh raha tha ke kahi humaare bhaisahab ko kisi larki se pyaar toh nehi hogaya aur isi chakkar mein...
Ar:( in a disgusted tone) Neil tu bhi na yaar. Phir se wahi bakwas..
N: Accha baba sorry sorry aur mazak nehi karunga. Thik hai chal ab main phone rakhta hu. See you soon. Bye.
Ar:(smiled) Bye.
Arjun kept the phone on the bed side table and went near the window. He looked outside and gave a sigh "Pyaar aur mujhe!Huh!"He smiled sarcastically and then sat on the couch taking his laptop and started his work.
