In a story there are main characters and side characters.
In Harry Potter, Hermione is opposite Ron. But that doesn't make Ronnie's sister the heroine of the series. Hermione is still the female lead. As in, the female main character. The main male and female characters do not have to be paired with each other.
In MMZ, the main story is that of Sam. All others revolve around her for now. Radhika, Neil and Arjun may have their own stories but in the show, AS IT IS RIGHT NOW, they revolve around Sam.
Arjun - trying to trap Sam and destroy her. His interactions with Neil and Rishikesh babe have always been to do with Sam, and nothing to do with the others personally.
Neil - do I need to say more? Sam is his world. I love this character. Sam is mistaking infatuation for love. I hope he stays around till Sam comes to her senses.
Radhika - even her victories at work and over Arjun have to do with Sam. Will she have a place to stay? Can she or can she not help Sam? Can she retain Sam's trust? Will she bring Neil and Sam together? Will she protect Sam from Arjun?
The story's main character is Sam. The antagonist at this time is Arjun. That makes them the main leads. The leads do not have to be opposite each other.
They don't even have to be opposite genders. Take Philadelphia, for instance . Can anyone say Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington are not main leads in it?😆
PS - That doesnt stop me from hoping they develop Neil into male lead soon. Aham is a wonderful actor and is already doing a super job as the antihero / main lead
But Neil! OMG. If you find a friend that you can share your deepest feelings and darkest nightmares with, if you find someone that you can be completely yourself with, no barriers, no pretense, no hangups, isn't that a love so deep, that you move heaven and earth to keep it? Samaira is blind. Hope she comes to her senses soon.
