'It was a string of Diamonds'
Barkha: On the suhaag raat, he gifted me a beautiful diamond pendant which was really a surprise. I am very fond of diamonds like most women are, so I was quite happy. It is a string of diamonds and it's beautiful...
'We decided to go to Maldives'
Indraneil: Maldives was our first and last choice. I had heard that Maldives is not a very crowded place. It was a good thing for me as I don't like a crowd. The sea had crystal clear water which made Barkha happy.
Barkha: It was an hour's motorboat ride and the water was so crystal clear that we could see the marine life underneath.
The sea around the island was like this huge swimming pool from where you can see the smallest pebble beneath. We were staying in the honeymoon villa at the resort which was a suite on water and the water was visible through the French windows and we could see the fish underwater.
Indraneil: The suite had a private deck with deck chairs and a private jacuzzi. The bathroom too was surrounded by sea and from the deck we could go down by the stairs and go snorkelling or swimming.
Barkha: That was the most romantic thing... walking together underwater with fish of every possible colour for company.
'We still feel like boyfriend-girlfriend'
Barkha: I think we are getting used to being called 'husband and wife'. Initially it was a strange feeling but it's sinking in now, but we still feel like boyfriend-girlfriend.
Indraneil: The other day this guy from the bank called on her cell while she was in the shower and I took the message for her and then he asked me 'Who's on the line?' There was a momentary hesitation before I said 'I am her husband'. It felt strange to say that... it was odd.
'She has sobered down'
Indraneil: Post marriage our clashes have gone down. Not only me but lots of people have told her that she has sobered down after marriage...
Barkha: Whereas he has started acting kiddish and our co-actors have started complaining to me about his pranks and comments which keep everyone in splits on the sets. He behaves totally like a baby. I think he is just too happy being married. One good thing is that he has completely quit smoking.
Indraneil: I had cut down before marriage, but today I have given up smoking totally. All thanks to Barkha.
Barkha: And now he takes such good care of me... he sees to it that I get up on time. I go to the gym on time, I take my medicines on time so much so that he gets me a glass of water and my multi-vitamin and ensures that I take it.
