The week that was 20th to 24 July...

Before we get to the story I cannot help but share my views on the track.

The current track is a very sensitive one and needs to be handled with utmost care if the intent is conveying a social message. Though personally I hate this track, its also cowardice to shut eyes and think such things do not happen. It does. Somewhere a girl gets raped every other day ...the family continues to suffer in silence...the victim is ostracized and life becomes a living hell. Time things change ...time perpetrators are brought to books...time a women finds means and ways to defend herself...time each of us teach our sons to respect women ...time we women learn to break the shackles of the society ...time we support the unfortunate to move on and find a meaning to life...

I remember a film by Vinil Mathew starring Madhuri Dixit...that goes ledke rote nahi...and finally it turns to ladke rulate nahi...

Here is the link.

Moving on the week that was...

Mrs. Tiwari the typical mother that she is, tries to poison the family as if that's the next best thing to do in such situations. Fortunately Shaurya arrives on time to save the family...while we do blame the mother ...one cannot but admit that its difficult to predict how one reacts to such situations...Shaurya is able to convince Diya's parents and brother against taking their lives, while Diya locks herself in her room...They try to coax Diya to open the door but fail in their attempts. Shaurya takes it up to himself to make sure that Diya gets the right support. He comes to her house every day, without fail... tryng to talk to Diya from her doorstep...about events at Awaz office and various other things...encouraging her to come out of the shock and face the world...

On the other hand Urmi and Bade Papa are busy planning for finding a groom for Ishaani while Ishaani and her badi maa watch the proceedings. Little do they know that everything was being staged by Urmi and Bade Papa.

Shaurya continues to try and get Diya out of the shell...his relentless efforts somewhere proves his respect for Diya and also what a fine gentleman Samrat's son has grown up to...After a couple of days he gives up and informs Diya from outside her door that he was leaving never to return...and he would also shut down Awaz, because without her there was no Awaz. Only this could move Diya to open the door and step out. As he leaves, the door creaks open, Diya finally steps out of her room runs down to hug Shaurya and breakdown...the tempest finally came crashing down...she wailed out loud letting out all the pent up agony of the past few weeks...Shaurya hugged her close as if augmenting her strength with his own...What a gentleman Samrat's son grew up to...

Wish every girl had a brother like Shaurya...

Wish every mom had a son like Shaurya...

Wish every Diya had a boss like Shaurya...

Wish every girl had a partner like Shaurya...

Gradually Diya opens up to Shaurya on what happened the dreaded night...gory stories of how 3 men sexually assaulted her in a moving car ...It was enough to chill spines...Shaurya narrates everything to his mom and gets a shoulder to cry on...Urmi calms him down and goads him to fight for justice. She tells Shaurya to lodge complaint against the guilty. At Diya's her brother goes berserk in frustration...jobless that he already was he thinks this incident will once for all close all the doors in finding a job...Wonder what that logic was...Diya was not at fault and why should her brother be the blamed...Unable to take all this Diya decides to end her life...if not for her father who stops her last minute she would have jumped off the terrace ...

Diya's parents and brother are not very happy with Shaurya...they should be falling at his feet for saving their daughter from losing it...instead they insult him not understanding why he had to take interest in Diya...Finally Diya decides to lodge a complaint and all hell breaks lose at her house...Regressive thoughts cannot be worser than what her parents told her...they finally told her to get lost if she decided to go to the police...

Shaurya gets Diya to the station only to find the inspector getting a phone call and refusing to lodge a complaint. One Station incharge sends them to the other and they face the same challenge there too. Urmi comes in at the right time to push for the FIR and hopefully we will get to see a complaint lodged next week.

Some of the scenes tugged at heart strings...and being a woman left my blood boiling at attitude of people near and dear as well as the so called society.

There are multitude of such real time stories... Here are some women who braved the world after the tragedy.

I guess this is fiction, I couldn't but help getting emotionally carried away ...

Thank you so much for the weekly review 🤗
Yes, being a woman, it is difficult not to get carried away while watching...indignation rises and it leaves one drained...but thankfully, they offer the medicine too - Shaurya... inspite of being Samrat's biological son, he's Urmi's son in nature through and through...Nothing more to be said other than repeating what you have done already:

May every mother have a son like him...
May every Diya have a boss like him...
May every girl have a partner like him...
May every society have many men like him...

I think our society needs many men like shaurya... I'm not saying all men are bad... but if only all men can bring out the shaurya... in them.
