I agree, they really need to show her divorce or separation for all the women out there who face these same issues...

I agree.

I don't want Samrat and Urmi to remain married. Urmi deserves so much better. Samrat is a disgusting person who needs to be punished.

On a similar note, I think the writers are afraid. In Indian serials, I think a woman being submissive to her husband even with abuse is more accepted (within audiences) than a woman taking action and getting a divorce. Divorce is still seen as taboo in many places. I think that's why the CVs are stalling on it and having Samrat wooing her back and stuff. But part of me is hoping that its all just a technique from the CVs to show how the relationship is finished and can never be repaired, leading to divorce.

Well said! I totally agree! The taboo of divorce is still so prevalent that they are probably really scared to show it. That being said, if it is not spoken about or shown properly there will be no change in society. This show is reaching so may viewers globally and it could affect so many people and change their thought process. Writers need to do the right thing because not every marriage ends in a fairy tale.

I second this..m not for the wooing track...if they are going to show something like this, the whole idea of standing up form women who face domestic violence will go down the drains.if they will show something like this, then its a utter nonsense...people like samrat wll nor change.i wanted a track where she would divorce samrat, become independent n then the entry of ishaan...always wanted ishaan and urmi's pairing.ishaan marrying urmi wll b a slap on samrat's face.

Even I want the exact same thing to happen! Not only Samrat, but I want Shashi and Amrit to be taught a serious lesson too!

and for the prostitute track.. there are yet a lot of things to be revealed.. one day this topic will come at front too 😉 n i think that day urmi will actually leave samrat

I really hope so! Any woman who can forgive their husband for repeated doing something like that on top of being an emotional and physical abuser cannot be human.

I love your post.

Initially I thought the CVs would have showed a woman who just realised that, hey I don't I have to take this nonsense & would stand up for herself but instead they let her go back to her in-laws due to duties as a bahu; what rubbish.

IF this is what happens in India & i'm saying IF because I don't know the culture of the Indians - the CVs could have shown a flip side that women who are in an abusive relationship & by the way physical abuse is not the only type of abuse, there are emotional & mental abuse - CVs can say that women can EMPOWER THEMSELVES and move forward in life.

For crying out loud there's a child involved & he's a boy, are you telling me that this is the right example to show a child, that it's right to beat a woman & abuse her in all forms & return like normal, hell to the NO if Urmi was my mother I would have been very ashamed as I got older.

I would appreciate CVs if you are clear in what your trying to portray because I'm interpreting a different picture.

That's what I don't understand either. But you see the taboo of divorce is so encultured within the characters and society of the show that she doesn't even open her eyes to seperation as being an option. It's actually really sad. I hope they take a step towards divorce eventually. A woman who has endured so much should get a divorce.

I don't live in India but i can tell you that the topic of divorce is still taboo today which makes me wonder if that is the reason that the CVs are shying away from that topic. They know very well that divorce is the best option but whether they take it into their hands to make this a message about women empowerment is in there hands 🤢

I agree. When Samrat told their son to hit his mother, it was truly disgusting. But slowly that have shown the son to understand that his mother is wronged but still he also has that nasty commanding attitude that his father does. Eventually if things don't change he will probaby turn out to be a xerox copy of his father.

I would appreciate CVs if you are clear in what your trying to portray because I'm interpreting a different picture.

I wish they would too!
