nice question ...pls..keep on asking these questions to the viewers to get everybody views here..

i think he is crazy as he want urmi for him ..but he dont know how to give respect to her ..and has no feature of loyality as said in the article also..vo sabpe apna hak jitata hai..par museebat mein kisi ka saath dena nahin jaanta..he is only using urmi he dont like her at first but his interest is in her sexy clothes not simple suit ...he is a bad guy ...i think in future also ishaan will be the supporter for urmi as it is said that the story line will movi in pardes way with the reentry of ishaan..😛😳

@topic maker - very good discussion.
Samrat is a terrible excuse for a man. IMO he isn't possessive about Urmi becoz he loves her, she's his wife and all that warm fuzzy stuff - he's possessive becoz its about power and control to him. Urmi is "his" therefore no one is allowed to look at her, touch her or think of her. Her whole life should be centered around him and his needs. Urmi's hopes, feelings, respect none of that matters, to him or in his eyes.

This show is getting progressively more and more difficult to watch.

While I'm willing to give the show some rope on the basis of creative liberty and the fact that shows are inspired by reality and the reality is unfortunately there are many men like Samrat in this world - however - at the end of the day this is a TV show.
We viewers tune in every evening to be entertained, to escape from our lives, to see things that perhaps we'd like to do in real life but aren't strong enough to act on or just plain be inspired or even educated about different social issues (i know that's a stretch but one can hope).

Sadly this show isn't really doing any of that at this point - Samrat is an arrogant, rude, self centered, cocky, egoistic, chauvinistic indian Male if there ever was one. No consideration for others or their feelings and almost spiteful and sadistic.
Urmi is the universal small town girl, extremely sheltered, naive and idealistic. She's looking at everything with rose tinted glasses and a false sense of reality.

The characters have been pretty well established at this point - what I want to see is how this progresses... are they going to show Urmi growing up into a mature, sensible, self respecting woman and standing up against Samrat and her journey of doing so?
Are Cvs going to take this down the road of - Samrat has some kind of twisted past that turned him this way but he's not all that bad underneath and Urmi's nature softens him up (this i find unlikely and I don't support this primarily becoz of how narrow minded and terrible they have shown Samrat so far - bringing him back is not logical at this stage - people like that rarely ever change or mend their ways)
The third angle which a lot of forum members are speculating about - the Urmi Ishaan angle - while i can understand why people would be rooting for them - they do appear to be better suited for each other - but under the circumstances - i'd rather not see the show go that way - that would just mean women always need a man and the "right" man will come rescue you from your hell.
If CVs really want to show something different - lets hope they take this show down the path of Urmi growing up and taking control of her life. This would still make for an interesting show - she'd have to battle the narrow mindedness of her mother in law and her own family (since they have a pretty narrow vision of a good girl and her place in life) and really come of age.
Every step she takes would be a slap in Samrat's face anyways - she would prove she doesn't need him or the title Mrs Samrat Singh Rathod... she can create her own identity.
We can hope!
