First of all Ishaan did not put a gun towards Urmi to marry Sam Rat. Ishaan himself is discovering how much of a monster his childhood friend has become. Sometimes when one has known someone for a long time, it's hard to imagine how much the person may have changed over years. Urmi's family too have encouraged this marriage despite the doubts they had. The biggest troublemaker is Urmi's SIL who has known her cousin rat and yet pulled the wool over her family's eyes.
