Chapter 60

It was almost 4 pm at evening when raghu knocked the door of antara's house. He was praying to bappa for antara's wellbeing. Someone opened the door and raghu got startle seeing her. "raghu bhaijaan!!" she said with hopeful voice. "zoya bhabi aap idhar?!!" raghu was hell shocked. "andar aa jaiye, fir sab bata ti hoon. Aap gaye kahan they?!!" zoya asked. raghu came inside and his eyes searched for antara. "antara ko dhoond rahe hain na aap?!" zoya asked. "haan woo... hain kidhar miscall? Wo thik to hain na..." raghu asked in eager voice. zoya became silent. "arey bhabi ji dekhon tension mat do... batao na miscall kidhar hain?!" his voice became urgent. Suddenly ishan rushed down from the stairs and came near zoya. Raghu remembered that antara was talking about ishan coming back from pahelgaon on that day. "aunty what happened?! Any news of didu?!" he asked. zoya silently nodded in no. "aunty what happened to didu? Where is she?!!" ishan's voice almost chocked. It was clear from his eyes that he cried a moment ago. "ishan it's okk darling stay quite! they are searching for antara. They will surely find her!!" zoya hugged him and assured him. raghu became frustrated. "arey koi mere ko batayega ki ho kya raha hain idhar..." He said loudly. zoya looked at him with bewildered eyes and composed herself with a deep breath. "antara ka kuch pata nahi chal raha hain pichle char panch ghanto se..." she said at last. Raghu couldn't say a single word, he felt a huge cold wave rushing down his spine and he felt numb. "kya?!!" he sked in chocked voice after a long pause. "haan bhaijaan, nahi antara ka pata hain na mr siddiqui aur aman ka..." She informed. Raghu didn't wait for a moment and rushed towards the door. "rukiye bhaijaan... kaha ja rahe hain aap?!!" zoya asked. "miscall ko dhundne..." Raghu said in frustrated voice. "rukiye bhaijaan pahele maeri baat sunte jaiye..." zoya said in firm voice. raghu stopped for a while and looked at her with bewildered eyes. "kahan dhoondne ja rahe ho aap antara ko?! Army ke log pure sahar chan rahe hain usey dhoondne ke liye.. phir bhi nahi mili woo..." zoya said. "arey naii dhoond sakte woo unhe..." he said frustratedly. "yeri hain woo... pata naii kis kone mein ja ke ghus jayegi... aisi jagah jo koi soch bhi naii sakta... naii dhoond payengey koi ussey..." he was holding the emotional pull which was about to broke out. Zoya came near him, "main samajh sakti hoon bhaijaan... aap ko bahut fikar ho raha hoga.. mujhe bhi bahut chinta ho rahi hain... pata nahi siddiqui mansion se kidhar chali gayi.." she said in sad voice. "siddiqui mansion?! Udhar kya kar rahi thi woo?!" he asked in worried voice. "asalmein maine hi bulaya tha ussey..." zoya narrated the whole story in nutshell. "...uske baad to main aur zara army head quarter mein general se baat kar rahe they... tab achanak mere mobile pe ek phone aya... ishan ka phone tha... wo aaj hi wapas aya hain shrinagar aur gharmein koi nahi tha... usne phone ke diary se mera number nikal ke mujhe phone kiya... tab hi mujhe pata chala ki antara abhi tak ghar nahi ayi... maine uske phone try kiya par lag hi nahi raha tha... call ja hi nahi raha tha... Hum sab ne bahut try kiya... phir bhi phone nahi laga... fir hume laga ki kuch garbar hain... tab se antara ko sab dhund rahe hain... par abhitak koi khabar nahi..." zoya said. Raghu listened to everything silently. "fir zara ko le kar main yahan aa gayi general se pata le kar... mujhe laga akela bacha ghar mein hain kahi koi musibat na aa jayein..." she finished. "wooo... last time wo aap ke ghar mein thi naa..." raghu asked. "haan sab se pahele to wohi pein search huya tha... par ajib baat hain... kahin pe bhi nahi hain woo... maine jagdish se bhi poocha.. usne kahan ki antara mansion se bahar hi nahi ayii... pata nahi woo larki gayi kahan..." zoya said in quite worried voice. "hmmm... thik hain.. abhi apun chalta hain..." raghu said and stood up. "arey bhaijaan ab kahan chale aap?!" zoya asked in confusion. "yeri ko dhundne... uss siddiqui mansion ke kahin aas pass hi hogi woo..." raghu said and stood up. "mujhe bhi jana hain..." suddenly ishan came forward. "arey dekh ishan abhi mera sar mat kha... Chuochap bhabi ji ke sath ghar mein rahe..." Raghu said. "mujhe jana hain... main ab aur ghar mein nahin baith sakti..." Ishan said stubbornly. "arey tub hi na... thik hain chal...par jyada uchal kud mat karna samjha?!!..." raghu said in irritation. Ishan fixed the glass and shot an angry look to him.

"maaf karna par aap andar nahi ja sakte hain. ye ghar ab army walo ke coverage mein hain." the junior army officer who was standing at the gate of siddiqui mansion said. "abey s**a pahele wo chunnu tha aur ab ye... pata naii siddiqui mainsion ke sare gatekeeper se mera locha kyun hain... koi andar jane nahi deta...ee chal hath aur andar jane de..." raghu said and was about to go inside. The army officetr grabbed his collar and pushed him rudely. "kaha na permission nahi hain... dekh nahi rahe ho ye mansion sealed hain..." he said harshly. Raghu looked towards the army officer with cold gaze. That officer sensed something wrong. Raghu gazed at him for a while with still voice and then shoved away his hands from his collar. "sukar manao ki abhi apun ko bas miscall ki fikar hain... warna raghunath ke sath aise baat kar ne ke baad koi bina khroch ke ghar naii lauta..." he said coldly. Even the army officer got silent looking at his silent dangerous gaze. He left the gate followed by ishan. He moved around the wall of siddiqui mansion. He was trying to find if there was any other way to go inside. But the walls were unbreakable and solid. "raghu tum mansion ke chakra kyun laga rahe ho?!!" ishan asked in confusion. "kyun ki mere ko dewar ke chakkar kaat na acha lagta hain..." raghu said in irritation. "sach mein?!" ishan asked innocently. "bappa kis kis se pala parta hain mera.." raghu stroke his own head. After a full round when he understood that there was no way to go inside he walked back to the road with frustrated face. His whole feature was shaking in anger. "pata nahi didu kaha hain. mujhe bahut dar lkag raha hain..." ishan said. Raghu's worry rose. "zoya aunty kahe rahi thi army walo ne sab jagah dhoond liya hain shrinagar mein..." ishan continued to blabber walking side by side with raghu. "maine suna woo siddiqui aur aman bhi nahi mil rahe hain... army wale kahe rahe the ki sayad unn logo ne didu ko pakar liya..." ishan said in worried voice. They had come quite far from siddiqui mansion. His every word was breaking his patience. And at his last word he couldn't control anymore. "abey chup kar na... kab se kaan ke niche bas bake ja raha hain... kaam dhanda to kuch naii hain tera... khalli-pilli bas sar kharap karta hain... iss liye tere ko nahi lana chahta tha... par jidhar bhi jaun chewing gum ke mafik chipak jata hain..." he vent out his all frustration on poor ishan. He looked at raghu's worried face silently for a while and then a lone tear escaped from his eyes. raghu saw that and felt bad. That kid was just worried about his sister and he was sharing his insecurities with him. "ee ishan tu.." he tried to console him but it was too late. "chup raho... mujhe tum se baat hi nahi karni..." ishan said and rused at the side of road. There was an old dried water well at the side of the road. The bricks were coming out from the wall and some grin vines and moss were at the corner of deep. Ishan stood at the front of that well facing his back to raghu. abey s**a raghu, sara problem tere iss garam khopri ka hain... abey samajh mein hi naii ata ki kab kya kahena hain...' he scratched his head in frustration. Ishan was standing at the edge of well with irritated face. his hands were kept on the edge of the well. His eyes fell on the depth of well. The well was not much deep and lights falling on the ground of well. Suddenly ishan saw something which made his heart jump. He blinked and leaned on the edge to get a clear view. On the other hand raghu was confused how to ask forgiveness from ishaan. yeri behen ki year bhai... raghu tu toh phas gaya yaar... abey future sale sahab hain tera... aur abhi se mara mari suru... ab sochne ka hain ki kaise manaye...' his thought process was interrupted with a scream. "DIDU!!!!!" a large scream came from ishan's side which startled him. he saw ishan leaning on the edge of well and gasping. What just he said?!! Didu??!!! Raghu rushed on the side of well in a flash and leaned on the edge. The light was falling at the depth of well. Just at some few meters distance at the ground of well, he saw a figure lying on the floor un consciously. Her hairs were ruffled and scattered around her face. she was wearing the same pink suit which he saw in morning. The small light coming through the edge of well was clearing her feature to him. antara!! his heart jumped in joy as well as in worry. How she reached inside the well and looking at her state he was hell worried about her condition. The way she was lying there without any single movement and response just like a lifeless statue, it froze his blood again. "didu wahan niche kaise?" ishan gasped and at the next moment he sensed someone jumped inside the well. He felt another shock. Raghu hooped inside and landed at the ground. he didn't got hit much as the ground was filled with moss and wet soil. The mud spread at his jeans. He rushed near her like mad and took her face in his arms. Antara's face was slightly covered by mud. Her lips were dry and her eyes were closed. She looked hell tired but also beautiful no doubt. The light warm rays of afternoon, coming through the edge was glowing on her face. raghu felt a lump on his throat seeing her in that condition. Why did he left her?! he knew that his yeri antara was too much accident prone, still he made the same mistake to leave her alone and unprotected. He scooped her tiny feature in his arms and hugged her tightly burring his face on her shoulder. He could hear her slow heartbeat and breath which gave him so much relief. She was alive, which gave back his life to her. But she seemed unconscious. On that very moment he decided never to leave her at any situation in their life. Only some few hours of separation made her condition like that then what else it could be. he hugged her tightly and his hand roam on her back madly caressing her, feeling her again. "yee kya kar diya tune haan?! Tune mere se wadha kiya tu apna khyal rakhegi... to aisa kaise kar diya tune?! Haan?!! Tere ko pata naii, tujhe dard hota hain to mere ko ussey jyada takleef hoti hain.." he whispered burring his head on her shoulder. he squeezed a bit harder around her waist. "ouch..." a very slow moan escaped from antara's mouth as if she was talking in sleep. Raghu quickly lifted his face from her shoulder and looked to her face. heer eyes were still closed and she was panting slowly. He felt worried if he somehow hurt him unconsciously. Her feature quivered a bit in his arm. "miscall.. ee miscall... ankhein khol na.. ee miscall..." he patted on her chicks lightly. "ummm.." a painful sound came out of her mind in unconscious. He could feel her whole feature was burning due to high fever. He took a quick glance at her state. her dress was mudded and her one sleeve was tore apart. He could see the bruises on her uncovered skin. It made his heart ache badly. He tried to shift her feet. She again made a painful sound and that also too loud. He became worried and checked her feet. He felt a huge bump near her left ankle. His heart ached badly seeing her at that condition. As well his disgust, his fury and anger was rising for those people who made her condition like that. Meanwhile ishan called the people nearby and a small crowd was gathered around the well. People were shocked seeing two peoples inside the old well. However with their help raghu took antara out of the well. As she came outside, her bruise skin, scratches everything got clearer to him. his eyes became mad. If siddiqui or dm was in front of him at that moment he would spare no one.

Raghu was waiting outside the room with worried face. zoya czlled their family doctor who was checking antara. zoya was also inside the room. It was quite long time they went inside. At last the lady doctor doctor and zoya came outside together. Zoya looked at raghu's worried face and gave a mild assuring smile, "fikar ki koi baat nahi hain raghu bhaijaan. Allah ka sukar hain... kuch nahi huya hain aap ki antara ko. Woo thik hain..." she informed. At last he took a sigh of relief. "par ussey hosh kyun nahi aa raha hain..." he was worried again. "stress ki wajah se..." doc said, "aur waisey bhi ussey bukhar hain... bahut der tak pani aur kichar ke andar thi naa... Uske jakham jyada to nahi hain... bas lower back ke pass ek chot hain aur use left ankle mein thora mocha a gaya hain... but don't worry, do din rest lena parega inhe fir bilkul thik ho jayegi... aur waisi koi major injury nahi hain..." doc said. Both raghu and zoya became relieved. "waisey inke scratches ko dekhe ke lagta hain ye sab ghasitne wale nishan hain... kisi bahut uchi jagah par slip ho gayi hongi sayad... Huya kyat ha inhe?!!" dos asked. "woo to mere ko bhi naii pata. Dekha to kuye ke andar giri huyi thi." Rghu said. "acha thik hain... koi baat nahin... sayad inhe hosh ane mein thora aur time lag jayein ... dariye mat... inhe rest karne di jiye... bahut jald thik ho jayegi..." doctor said. "thank u doctor." zoya said they both went towards the door. Raghu entered in the room. Antara was lying on the bed and sleeping peacefully. Zoya and doctor had cleaned her wound and changed her dress into that light green salwar suit she wore during their trip to gulmarg. Raghu sat at her side cautiously without breaking her sleep. She looked a little bit pale and tired. He just wanted her back like before. Just let her open her eyes and she had to answer for all her reckless did. At last he felt relief after all the day, seeing her at his side. Being close to her was the greatest blissful thing he ever experienced in his life. He gently touched her face and removed the locks caressing her tender skin. A small smile appeared in his face. "kuch naii hoga tere ko... apun aa gaya hain na... kuch naii hone dega tere ko... tu bas jaldi se thik ho ja..." he uttered slowly with love filled voice. antara's breath saturated slowly.
