Part 6
Antara and Raghu walked into Antara's house hand in hand with big grins on their faces. To their surprise Rukhsana, Machmach, Rajveer, Ishaan and Nikita were all sitting in the living room.
"Hi guys." Said Rajveer looking up from the tv.
"HI" Antara said cheerfully.
"O lala, Antara, kya hua? Itni khush kyun hai?" Machmach laughed.
Antara just grinned at Raghu who was smiling back at her. Everyone stared at the two of them in confusion.
"Mhmm" Machmach cleared her throat. Antara broke out her trance just in time to catch the pillow Rajveer threw at them. In doing so the light bounced off her engagement ring. Rukhsana ran across the room pushing Rajveer out of the way and grabbed Antara's left hand.
OH MY GOD IS THIS WHAT I THINK IT IS?" Rukhsana shrieked. She was jumping up and down in excitement, still holding Antara's left hand. Antara giggled nervously and nodded.
"It's an engagement ring," Raghu said smoothly. Rajveer and Ishaan gasped and Machmach and Nikita yelled excitedly. Rukhsana let out an ear-piercing scream before tossing her arms around Antara again.
"OH MY GOD WE'RE GOING TO BE SISTERS! THIS IS GOING TO BE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I AM GOING TO HELP PLAN THE WEDDING!" she exclaimed at the top of her voice. She was still jumping up and down and Antara had to jump with her since her arms were wrapped around her.
Raghu just laughed.
"Ruku, meri future wifey ko chod do, agar usne tumko dekh kar shaadi ki liye mana kar diya toh mein bahut dhukhi ho jaoga, aur ek naya Devdas iss duniya mein ajai ga." Raghu said pulling Antara out of Rukhsana's grip and encircling her with his arms.
"Congratulations guys. Raghu phir soch le, are you sure ki tu Antara se shaadi karne ke liye tayaar hai. Yeh upar se thodi hili hui hai." Rajveer teased jokingly.
"You know what, meine bhi yahi kaha tha jab Rukhsana nai mujhe bataya ki woh tumse pyaar karti hai Rajveer." Antara said poking him causing Rukhsana to blush.
"Sorry. Jokes apart, I am happy for you guys." He said.
"Antara, this is not fair. Ek mahine mein meri aur Ankita ki shaadi hai aur tu bhi engagement kar ke agai." Machmach laughed hugging Antara and Raghu, they both knew he was joking.
Machmach had met Ankita at her friend's wedding and they had instantly fallen in love. Antara and her family all loved her because she was perfect for Machmach and loved her as much as Antara lives Raghu.
"Machu, don't worry. Hum tere baad hi shaadi karenga." Antara laughed.
"Mujhe toh lagta hai ki hame abhi hi bhaag jaana chahiye, aur shaadi karleni chahiye. Dadi ko toh abhi bacche chahiye." Raghu whispered in Antara's ear making her shiver.
"Besharam" Antara whispered elbowing him in his stomach.
"Mhm, agar tum dono lovebirds kabhi toh ek doosre ke elava kissi aur ko dekh liya karo." Rukhsana laughed bursting their little bubble. "Antara, aaj meine, Nikita, Simmi aur Ankita tumhe kidnap kar rahe hai, GIRLS NIGHT."
"Nahiii" said Antara knowing they would interrogate her of the proposal. She wanted to spend time wit Raghu.
Ankita and Nikita dragged a relucatant Antara from Raghu.
"I'll come save you later." Laughed Raghu.
"You, Mr. Raghu Naik, are a horrible fiance. Mujhe protect bhi nahi kar sakte." Antara teased leaving. Raghu just grinned at the word fiance.
The girls allowed Antara to change into her pajamas before they started interrogating her.
"So, usne kaisi propose kiya?" asked Rukhsana. "I can't believe ki usne mujhe bataya nahi, aur meri help bhi nahi mangi, well brownies banane ke liye mangi but mujhe bataya nahi ki who tumko propose karne wala hai." Rukhsana pouted.
"Ruku, chup kar. I want to hear ki Raghu ne kya kiya. Woh toh pehle sai hi itna romantic hai, iss baar toh usne kuch bahut special kiya hoga na." Ankita said poking Antara.
"Was it romantic?" asked Nikita.
Antara knew she was going to have to tell them. So she told them the whole story with every little minor detail, like the candles and the roses. When she finished recounting her tale everyone was smiling. Rukhsana was swinging back and forth.
"OMG, mujhe toh pata hi nahi tha ki mera bhai itna romantic bhi ho sakta hai." Rukhsana said.
"Hai Antu kya mein Raghu ko borrow kar sakti hoon? Woh mera 24th and final boyfriend hoga." Nikita said.
"Stop hitting on my boyfriend, woh mera hai." Antara said teasingly.
"Actually, it's fiance." Raghu said from the door. All the girls turned around and stared at a grinning Raghu.
Ankita ran upto him and put her arm on his shoulder.
"Raghuuu, aaj kal bara romantic ho gaya hai." She teased. "Waise tum yaha kya karne aeye ho?"
"Well," Raghu said walking to Antara and picking her up bridal style, "Mein apni wifey ko rescue karne aaya hoon." He said carrying her out of the room.
"RAGHU, THAT IS NOT FAIR. BRING HER BACK." Yelled Rukhsana.
"Everything is fair in love and war!" yelled Raghu smiling down at Antara carrying her down the stairs.
"Raghu, hum kaha jaa rahe hai?" Antara asked, not that she minded as long as he was with her.
"Mujhe laga ki mujhe meri future wifey ke saath time spend karna chaahiye, isliye hum mere ghar jaa rehe hai." He said carrying her out the door and into the next house.
Antara just smiled at how sweet and caring he was. She wanted to always be like this. Antara was surprised at how talented Raghu was, he managed to open the door and carry Antara up the stairs without any problem. He opened his room door and put her on his bed.
Antara smiled and lay down and pulled him beside her. She snuggled into his side and they fell into a comfortable silence. They were both immensely happy.
"So, hum sabko kab bataynge ki humari engagement ho chuki hai?" Antara asked after a while.
"Tomorrow, you don't have to worry about it. You know ki woh sab bahut khush honge." Raghu said kissing her neck.
"Raghu." Antara said trying not to get distracted but it was hard when her extremely sexy boyfriend was trying to kiss her. So she tickled him, right in the side of the stomach where Antara knew he was ticklish. Raghu started laughing and a tickle war started.
"Antara." Raghu asked after they had settled down. "How many kids do you want to have?" He said playing with her hair.
"Um two, maximum three." Antara said. "How about you?"
"Ten." Raghu responded. Antara looked at him expecting to see his teasing smile but was met with a serious face.
"Ten, dus baache?" She asked shocked. "Tum joke kar rahe ho na?"
"Nahi, Antara, I am completely serious. Dus baache, 5 little Antaras and 5 little Raghus" He tried to say with a serious face but failed. Antara slapped his arm.
"Ow, shaadi se pehle hi marne lag gayi." He said.
"Raghu, be serious. Kitne baache?"
"Two or three." He said.
"That's more reasonable." She smiled.
"Mrs. Raghu, I think humko practice karni chaahiye." He teased.
"Besharam." She said slapping him again. "Shaadi ke baad." They both laughed.
They both fell asleep talking and discussing their future. There was nowhere else they would rather be than in each other's arms.
