Raghu and Antara FF : Until we meet again
1.In my End is my Beginning
"What we call the beginning is often the end.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.
The end is where we start from." - T S Eliot
Wounded she was, from the bullet that had pierced her stomach, yet she felt no pain as she looked at his face.
The sad, yet faint smile on his lips, the red and gold chunri wrapped around her, close to her heart... the feel of his fingers at the back of her head, running through her hair, his other hand that held on to hers...
His eyes glistening with love and pain as they gazed into hers... and a pinch of vermillion that he had applied at the parting of her hair...
Those were the last things she thought of, before she closed her eyes.
"It's time, time to go." a voice from the other side whispered in her ears. It sounded like her father.
But he would be alone, she protested.
"No, he wouldn't. You'll meet him again," the voice assured her. She smiled faintly at that. She didn't know why, but she trusted the voice.
She would meet him again. But now, it was time to let go. And let go, she did.
And then she fell backwards, away from him... away from everyone, everything.
At first, it felt like she was gliding away, dissolving into nothingness; after a while she began floating.
She floated in the air, as light as a feather. Her eyes were still closed and she didn't know where she was or how long she had been floating. It might have been a few days, months or even years.
She liked the feeling. Time didn't matter anymore, nor did space.
"It's time again. Open your eyes now...," the voice spoke again.
She was annoyed. She didn't want to open her eyes. All she wanted was to keep floating till eternity. But then, what she wanted didn't matter anymore either, it seemed.
The voice spoke again, and unwillingly, she opened her eyes to the world, and wailed.
