Oh God this is annoying , way to underwhelm CV's. I understand the censorship but what we saw today was just poorly written and edited work. I understand that today there was never suppose to be a romantic high. Nor was I expecting both the leads on one frame. But what I was hoping that kiss or not, there was more to their moment than a pissed off Satya and the bell. This was a monumental event in their life. Probably the game changer in terms of their relationship. Yet the moment was marred by too many things happening at the same time. It seemed too rushed and sloppy..
I appreciate the pacing and justify it always saying how this is needed. But nope, today, cannot be cover for shabby editing by giving the same excuse. This chapter being 100th and so hyped needed something more.
Just Don't slack and loose focus. Alright guys. Bad day. But lets move on.
Satya with the dupatta and the bead. If I take it as a foreshadowing then it reflects many things. Even if he will be close to getting Antara, all he would be left with is her shadow. She would be too damaged and christened by Raghu that nothing would be left for him. Not even her tears.
The passion of Raghu- the way he twirls her is so raw and uninhabited. He would have savored the moment once more if not for the bell and the censor board. What was beautiful was their realization of what they have done. There was a sweat smile on his face and there was this bashful joy on hers. No shyness or hesitation, they embraced their intimacy and enjoyed it unapologetically. Bravo writers for showing the growth of a couple in love. There body language has gone for an evolution, it is so heart-warming to see a female lead embracing her love .
The SMS game- oh man, I was laughing at these two- Raghu that mausam has changed into gulabi wala SMS was too corny and so not you yet it manged to bring an aw just coz it shows how much you have changed. His whole personality has blossomed. Her love has given him the confidence to be bold and she has given all the haqq to him. I hate to see how they are giving him all the happiness of the world just so to snatch it at the right moment.. But angst , thy name is trp.
Ruksana- I absolutely abhor how they are playing and using this woman's emotions. She is going to be treated like a play act so that Raghu can walk away. Damn, she would be shattered. Its one thing to not have her love but here she would be forced to be with her unrequited love and see how he has even given his soul to somebody else. To see him pin for Antara would pierce her heart slowly and for no fault of hers.I just don't know if I can put her pain in words. All I know is she was not required as a plot-twist.
Satya- He is fighting for his ego. He is not in love with Antara but she has become a victim to his obsession with defeating Raghu. The scene with his mom indicates just how manipulative he is. He knows that out of guilt DM would bring him the moon if he asked. I can imagine how he blackmails her to get him what he so desires right now.
DM- For a Lady Don she looked like a mother fighting for her son's attention while making that pickle in the kitchen. It symbolized how helpless and desperate she is to connect with her own blood. The irony there. Her relationship with Raghu is weird , there is more and dark shade to it. He is important for her not just as a henchman but something else. Like he is key to a past. She is careful that he is never upset by Satya so much so she would reprimand her own blood for the sake. This "why" here is very ominous. Raghu today again mentioned how he can give his Jaan for her- this is what she would ask. And here might be the rise of the Real Raghu Bhai , the one who carved the name Antara with his gun.
Antara for her part is confident , sure and has given her all to Raghu. She has recovered from her past yet the wounds are still fresh, just one scratch and she will shatter and this time beyond repair. I see her as a bride vilified at the altar who kept on waiting for the beloved and he never showed p. I see her going numb, colorless and somehow her life would be a walking funeral and going back to Kashmir would be her only solace. AND this is where the real story would begin. The quest of Raghu to regain his love, to make Antara live again and to finally be that person she can rely on. I worry for the upcoming turns but I am excited for this journey. If they execute this well, we have something fresh and beyond the tv cliches.
The marriage track- Well I don't see a marriage per se happening here even with Satya. But I have a good inclination to think that Satya as a character is short-lived, so will they give him that one hurrah and use his absence as a tool for Raghu's redemption. Whatever be the case, I don't see a married Antara at al or for long even.
Shilpa leaving the show- I have mixed feelings here. I understand she would be frustrated with how her character is showing. It was meant to be like Godfather, this conniving evil character who we begrudgingly respect. Yet here she has been more involved with the kitchen politics, son drama and seems more like a jealous lover.Basically she is not menacing enough like say Satya. She lacks that fire. For me DM was meant to be the third wheel of this story. She is the antagonist who from time to time will challenge these star-crossed lovers. I hoped for a range of emotions. Cold blooded to a complete Psycho. They messed it by bringing her too soon and then Satya's early entry took the shine away from her. She seems more like an after-thought now. Though I feel it might be a quick reaction to Kamya's quitting that resulted in this haste by CV's to cast this character yet I also feel Shilpa couldn't lift it with her performance, like say Akshay did with his. Sometimes her face is too vacant . See this is a character which was meant to grow with the story. She is suppose to undergo various shades along with Rantara. She is going to burn in the fire she has started for them. I just dont see Shilpa pulling it off right now. Add to the multiple characters like Ruku added to the story her screen presence decreased and she is day by day loosing her edge. Her track with Aman lacked the punch. I would just be glad if Shilpa continues to shoot till they air the Kashmir track, they can then change DM and give us a fresh start.
I understand when the lead becomes the soul of a show, usually it is difficult to do justice to supporting cast. SO writers just keep them intelligent and use them wisely. You don't need statues to narrate a scene. Be careful with Machmach now.
To my fellow readers, hold on . Marriage track is going to be the shifting of the gear of this story. Till now we have enjoyed the prologue of this magnum opus its time to move with it. As long as they have a clear idea of their story , I wont be scared. So just prepare for angst and tears , they make it more special.
100 episodes, a milestone. Thank you Ayaz , Nikta ,all other actors , technicians and forum members for making this ride so special. I have enjoyed every minute of it. Big hug to everyone.
P.S. I am dying for the uncensored Kiss video, just to balance the scales today!
