Daya Maayi is God for Raghu but unfortunately for him, this is a fallacy, unlike God she does not have his good intentions at heart but rather pretends to be on a high pedestal. I seriously think she enjoys the high of being able to control someone like Raghu and she is only able to because she pretends to be someone of a higher being to Raghu. I guess its likewise with Ajji.
This story is also the battle for Raghu's heart and soul which belongs to Daya Maayi right now but we know that Antara has already made inroads there and the symbolisation of Antara sitting on DM's "throne" in the promo symbolises that Antara will take this place in Raghu's life and this is exactly what DM fears,,it is not that Antara disrepected her but this worshipping machine Raghu that she has honed into will end up not being controlled by her.

As much as this story is about Raghu and Antara, this story will also be about a battle between two distinct ideologies represented by DM and Antara for Raghu's soul. There is still innocence and goodness in Raghu and Raghu needs Antara to retain this and take him back on the right path and for this I am not too upset seeing the DM worship by Raghu. Its needed because something big is needed to shake Raghu's faith in DM and its coming but before that we need to see how important DM is to Raghu.

Amidst all the plotting and menacing environment of DM's plottings, was the light and innocent romance of Raghu and Antara, again contrasting that this is where life's sweet sounds in Naikwadi will come from. And Raghu despite being honed to be a gangster has retained this sweetness and innocence and we have seen this in his scenes with DM and his scenes with Antara.
Hold on folks this is not just going to be a battle of love but a battle for Raghu's soul and we need Antara with her strong idealogies and her steady influence on Raghu to play an all enveloping role.

I totally agree with you. Right now the story is about two conflicting ideologies! Kind of reminds me of the SRK madhuri starrer movie Koyla! In that movie Amrish Puri raises SRK to worship him till Madhuri enters and SRK falls for her. Later on we get to know that it was Amrish Puri who killed SRK's parents. I hope that is not the scenario here too!

Great posts...but somehow today I did not see these negative aspects...for me it was an extremely touching and sweet episode simply because of the fact that for the first time could see how Antara and Raghu feel for each other...they are away from each other but not apart...loved the way Raghu seeing Antara trying to stop the celebrations walks out to her and subtly tells her to go inside and not freak out...the way he warns her to go inside...and she quitely obeys...the way she tells her Maami that if Raghu idolises DM then she would surely go and apologise to her...the moment Raghu realises that Antara is standing in her balcony and watching him and the gleam in her eyes on seeing him...when they meet it felt like they just want to be with each other always and share their feelings...and at the end when Antara holds his hand realising that Raghu is afterall a child at heart who is so gullible and can be cheated easily into idolising a criminal...really really sweet episode and on seeing DM's entry only made me feel that this will be a turning point in Antara and Raghu's life and will make them realise how much they are made for each other and can't live being apart...Beautiful...

Sorry girls had to step away... will catch up with all the replies in a bit.
I do want to elaborate on a few things:
DM means the world to Raghu! He didnt have anyone in his life and DM (no matter how she is) gave him shelter. He cannot repay her. He thus worships her. A child, who was left on his own in this cruel world was protected by DM. Today, when his DM came home - he cannot express his happiness. It was as if a small child just saw his mom after work. You can see that innocence in Raghu. To be fair to Raghu - He doesnt even know the other aspect of DM. We as audience know this so we can sit here all day and abuse, but Raghu the character doesnt. This is what makes us sympathize with him so much. Yes at times we will be mad at Raghu for not listening to Antara, but can we blame him? If someone who I met recently says something about my father or mother, do you think I would take it calmly? No! Very natural reaction. This world will come crashing the day Raghu sees behind her fakeness! Can you imagine how his heart will shatter to pieces knowing DM never loved him? It will be painful, but Antara will offer her shoulder! This is the beauty of Rantara. They will be there for eachother. Mostly we have seen Raghu do everything for Antara. This is will be a time for Antara to do something for Raghu. I am sure Antara will realize the reality of DM way before Raghu does and this will be a testing time for her. She will have to bear Raghu's anger, but she will do it.. you know why? She cares for Raghu! She wont ditch him in this situation.

Ah! Finally caught up with the episode.
This is what I expected and this is exactly why I find Satya track a small hurdle in this incredible Rantara journey. They both are evolving in each other's presence. And it will always be the looming shadow of DM that will make their love epic and momentous.

DM's entry, there is a symbolism, when antara throws water on her face, it emphasizes on how she will be instrumental in revealing DM's true face. She will wipe the blind faith that Raghu has for his deity like DM.

Daya Mai with all her OTT silently gave so many shades to her personality. For a second I wondered how Kamya would have played this role. Shilpa will do a good job but she adds more of a Psychotic tone then a shrewd manipulative shade. Time will tell. But one thing is for sure, she is perceptive, possessive and probably too power hungry. What made her like this , where is her husband and so many questions. She is treated like a God in the basti coz she has been one to them, typical Bombay yore, with its road mafia and their lordship. She is the Judge and executioner. The nocturnal way she demands worshiping is so creepy yet required. She needs to me on a pedestal before Antara pulls the rug.

Dm and Raghu- Raghu is a pious and innocent soul, for all his maturity , he is too trustworthy. There is no half measures for him as we saw in cases of Antara and Aman. But with DM he takes it miles higher, she probably became the motherly figure , gave him, shelter and probably some power , hence in a way she conformed Raghu's identity. She is possessive about him , there is a sense of ownership. She is not bothered about others but she likes to have him near her. There is more to this story. Why she hides her real intentions , if he was just a servant , nah I don't buy she knows once true self is revealed, Raghu would go far away from her.So the question remains why Raghunath is important for her.

DM's Achilles heel is going to be her son. His fate and role in Rantara's life is pretty vital. It might be catalyst for the epic DM vs Rantara battle. The fight of two completely different ideologies.

The scenes between our two lovelies were so adorable. There ishare ishare wali talks, hayee, the growth of their relationship is so beautiful. There is genuine friendship and trust. A hot tempered Raghu wold have totally lost it but he listened to his Miss Kaul and even Antu was receptive to his words. Their comfort level with each other is so heart-warming. Love how they need to see each other and discuss their deepest secrets. And the Music, it is always going to hold them together. Raghu knows how important his music is to Antara's life. He smirked at her cute possessiveness and that hand holding what a growth . Simply amazing.

I am so pleased with these two , such a refreshing love story.

one more thing which i noticed today and it surprised me was Raghu is already so protective of Antara , that probably going against DM for her later on won't be as complicated as I thought it would be though its gonna be a long process. Today , when Antara splashed water on everything and spoke against DM to someone , i expected Raghu to be the goon everyone sees him as , but no , he looked like more of a man walking towards someone he cares about , telling her to get away from his world , for her safety. When Raghu was telling her to back to her house from this atmosphere , it was almost as if he is symbolically protecting her from his world which is filled with crime and mafia , advocated by DM. Its like when the light of your life comes into your dark world and you tell them to go for their own sake. It almost felt like that.
